Old man...

Spitting game is a term used by us young folk to talk about picking up girls. I know the word has more than one definition. Quit using red herrings to get away from me.

Don't worry I'll give you time to google what red herring means.

Yep. Could not care in the least. I just believe this board is the very definition of a double standard. Richt is low class, but his trouble makers are just "misunderstood". Can't have it both ways.

I don't like richt because he actually said lsu has the worst fans, I never hated on him before, until he started talking shite. But now I'll go on and say he's full of shite with what he preaches, and he has vastly underperformed at uga. I mean shite, you share one of the most talent rich states in the country with one other d1 program. You should win a title with ga talent a lone.

You're mad because they're hyping themselves up before the 4th quarter starts?!

Seriously, if you think that's bad you ought to see the stunts UGA pulls during the pre-game warmup sessions. They love to dance and pull various routines sure to anger opponents. It's an UGA thang and there's psychological reason to do what they do, especially during warmups. Although I wouldn't want my team emulating them, it DOES serve a purpose. It gets inside the heads of emotional players and too much anger/emotion causes otherwise good players to make mistakes. The warmup shenanigans have become so routine, I consider them just another UGA tradition. Definitely not getting worked up over - getting you, especially opposing players, is the point.

sad

So fricking sad

The fact that you even had to add "spitting" to the verb justs shows how fricking dumb you really are.Now go back, use a bit of that "great UGA education", and come up with something that is applicable to this convo.

Or just sit in the cornor and talk to your self. Might be the best for both worlds.

I have to throw one thing to thread. I have never understood why the Aubies are always so bitter about the Soldja Boy dancing. By far the most memorable part of that night and game for me was the entire UGA student section throwing the little Red Baron plastic mini-footballs that had been handed out as one came into the stadium at the Auburn players and coaches on the sidelines, especially at players using the roofless bright orange outhouse that Auburn insists on dragging to every away game.

I can both completely admit it was a classless thing to do, and yet not be in any way embarrassed I participated because well, frick Auburn. As a matter of fact, I am pretty sure you can see some of the balls still raining down at the end of that game's video.

Just like seeing the contorted rage on Meyer's face made every other bogus PF penalty in that game and future games that year absolutely worth it. There is simply nothing like seeing a guy that is willing to break just about every rule in the book being punked by a team he never thought would go there.

Viva Dark Richt!

Just since this seems to be an everlasting meme-- sure, you can say Richt has underachieved, but no other SEC coach has had to put up with as many dumbass restrictions as the UGA administration has forced on itself. From drug policies to a special admissions committee that nixed more than a few commits to financial restrictions on staff. IF you are going to criticize him then you should at least take all factors into account.

Dammit, CMR. Not again!

Anyhoo, every team has their own way of taunting the opponent or at least finding ways to get under the skin of opponents in various ways. It's part of football. I've got no problems with a 'lil swag, especially swag that doesn't get mean spirited.

ooh, the swag between AU and UGA became mean-spirited long ago. Hell, it may have been even before the fire hoses, but it was definitely entrenched after that. At least among the fanbases. I have seen more fights at the AU-UGA games than at every other game I have attended. For the players and coaches I think it is usually just a rivalry unless certain things happen, but after 2010 game, there is a reason that Richt kept rubbing Auburn's face in their incompetence in 2011 and 2012 when he usually picks his foot up off the gas. Actually, in 2012, I don't think that UGA was necessarily trying to rub it in, Auburn was just such a shitty team that year, UGA couldn't help but score more points.

Mark Richt was dancing at a football game? It's time to put a stop to this classless nonsense.

If UGA had a creed like auburn does, maybe they too would have high moral character.
