You're mad because UGA made that asskicking into a spectacle on national TV.
AU was leading 20-17 with 5:30 left in the 3rd. UGA scored twice to take a 31-20 lead & we danced...

UGA kicked off to AU to start the 4th so AU had the entire 4th qtr... 15 minutes to do something about UGA apparently disrespecting them by dancing...

Did they man up & do something about the 11 point deficit?? No...

AU 4th qtr drives...
2 plays - 0 yds.... int
8 plays - 30yds.... T/O on downs
3 plays - 0 yds.... int

Meanwhile UGA scored 2 more times (3 plays - 65yds & 9 plays - 59yds) in the 4th to win 45-20...

What would you say if Nick Saban had ordered his bench to clear during last year's Iron Bowl to wake his team up once AU started coming back? Oh, wait...he wouldn't do some gimmicky stupid shite like that.

Yeah, he just stood there looking clueless and took it. And lost.

Good for him!

Oh wait, he then hired Lane Kiffen, which is the very epitome of "gimmicky stupid shite".

No. he would just whine about the clock and have a second put back on it, so he could lose the game.

As if some players having fun on the sideline is any worse than what Fairley did.

Even more than FL/GA?

I was wondering the same thing! Last year was a mess, with all the fights!

I admittedly do not take in the Landing /downtown scene before or after the Cocktail Party, and I wasn't able to go at all last year, so yeah, I have seen more fights at UGA/AU than at the Cocktail, but they certainly could be happening where I am not.

ooh, the swag between AU and UGA became mean-spirited long ago. Hell, it may have been even before the fire hoses, but it was definitely entrenched after that. At least among the fanbases. I have seen more fights at the AU-UGA games than at every other game I have attended. For the players and coaches I think it is usually just a rivalry unless certain things happen, but after 2010 game, there is a reason that Richt kept rubbing Auburn's face in their incompetence in 2011 and 2012 when he usually picks his foot up off the gas. Actually, in 2012, I don't think that UGA was necessarily trying to rub it in, Auburn was just such a shitty team that year, UGA couldn't help but score more points.

Well I was talking more about the dancing and other stunts UGA likes to do pre-game. They do the dancing thing and other stuff to us as well. When we're at home and they do the pre-game/warm-ups dance our band usually responds by instantly blaring Rocky Top at them. It's fun, imo, though some fans get MAD about it all.

AU-UGA is a dirty, mean, slug-fest on the field and sometimes in the stands as is UGA-UF. For whatever reason though, our games with UGA have always been pretty clean and far less hateful (usually more fun than anything else).

I certainly hate it when UGA loses to UT, but yeah, I just don't have the same visceral hate for the Vols that I have for the Gators and Aubies.

I am personally amazed more students/fans haven't drowned in the river. There are so many drunk off their arse people in the vicinity, you would think it is bound to happen.

My dad wouldn't let me go to it back in the Gator Bowl days. First one I attended was in 97.

No doubt it sucks to lose regardless of who you're cheering for on game day. I've always enjoyed the UGA-UT game though - very passionate but it doesn't cross that line (well minus the drunks) the way some games tend to do.

Besides, we (local beer brewers in both Knoxville and Athens teamed up) pulled this off last year making fun of our 'water war.' 35th Parallel Ale: LINK / Main site: LINK /

I remember the local news reporting that the commemorative brew, which was served in Knoxville since the game was here and a few locations in Athens, brought both Vol fans and Dawg fans together and they had a great time. I'm hoping they do it again this year and in the years that follow, even after the 'dispute' is forgotten.

How the hell can you not love that?
