You serious boss? LSU's entire defense is basically 4 and 5 star guys with 4 and 5 star guys as backups. Kevin Toliver is a 5 star that started as a true freshman that just got his spot taken by a 4 star RS freshman that has 2 ints in 2 starts and has another INT but wasn't screwed by the refs.

Depth. It's always about the depth.

I believe Mullen is 0-8 against bammer, 1-7 against LSU, and 3-5 against Auburn. The three best teams Moo State usually plays every year. That adds up to a combined record of 4-19. You clowns really need to shut up and stop embarrassing yourselves

Since when did making a bowl game become a big deal? Making a GD bowl game should be a given. Win anything of any significance, then come back to see us. We're disappointed to lose one or two games over a season. Any season that doesn't end in a championship game is a failure. State is happy just keeping a bowl streak going. Jeez....

Lmao. Vegas has y'all at over/under 5.5 games. The delusion is strong.

I agree that those teams would have more star power on paper. State loads up on guys that are ranked in 300-500 range nationally(top 300 = 4/5 stars).
With the resources available to kids across the country these days, there are more than ~300 4 star type guys in each class. What's the difference in the #385 guy in the country and the #285 guy in the country? Nothing other than an extra star. Also, the recruiting services can't help but to change rankings according to who the kid has committed to.
High 3 star guy commits to LSU, the next month he is a 4 star. High 3 star guy commits to State, stays a 3 star because "Mississippi State signs 2 and 3 stars".
The fact is, MSU isn't signing the type guys that they were from 2003-2008. That was a decade ago now, when yes, we were signing a bunch of 2 and 3 stars with offers from Memphis, La Tech, Middle Tennessee State, etc. Now we are signing guys that have SEC offers and multiple P5 offers.
The majority of the SEC still sees Mississippi State as the Dumpster fire that was the Croom Era, when in reality, State has been one of the most consistent teams in the SEC over the last decade.
This weekend is a chance for MSU to make a Statement and start permanently changing the national perception of Mississippi State. I know one thing, the on field results between LSU/MSU in the past 3 years do not reflect a lopsided talent advantage in LSU's favor.

Y'all are the ones who perpetuated that myth forever to show Mullen's talent for development. Don't be mad folks are parroting you.

Compared to Several teams in the SEC, you do. What you seem to misinterpret is the fact that your team might have a 4 or 5 star starting but the depth behind it is 2 or 3 star.

Saban at Alabama has ruined most of the SEC, while everyone else tries to copy him, but it has been the best thing for MSU. They have been the largest benefactor of all these quality 3 star State of Alabama recruits that are now ignored by Alabama and Auburn. When Bama and AU started recruiting nationally, they left behind a fairly damn good recruiting pool for MSU to dominate. The average high school coach in Alabama gets more visits from Mullen than Saban or Malzahn.
