This is a childish thread. Talent makes coaches much smarter, Every coach in the SEC knows light years more football than you guys, Most of ya'll never played organized football.

Nate Hawg one thing you are not realizing is that Ole Miss, SC, and MSU have just as much potential to win, if not slighly more than Arkansas b/c they have better recruiting bases. SC has that as well as bigger budget. The losing record against the rest of the league is too be expected. It's Arkansas. If you think Arkansas can play with the top 6 programs in the league consistantly you are delusional. Who cares about his lower tier bowl record? they are exhibition games. Maybe he was counting on senior leadership that didn't show up yet was concentrating on the NFL draft.

I think this is what pisses the fanbase off the most. Until Petrino/Long got here, all we heard about was our "Potential" in the SEC and how it was limited...This came from Broyles, Nutt and the entire coaching staff. You heard it a lot more at the end of HN's career at Arkansas...even with some of the best talent we've had in his career.

No program, team or fanbase wants to here these excuses. Will we be a consistent top 6 team, probably not, but it is sure nice to hear the coaching staff set goals that they feel are obtainable, which includes putting themselves to make it to Atlanta in 2009...

So who coached? and why didn't that coach have control over his players?

Reggie Herring...although he seemed to get control of his D later in the season, he war horrible at early preparation...

The Mizzou game was a disgrace on all levels

Disgrace doesn't even cover it. We didn't blitz and dropped 8 into coverage every play. The passing game was locked but that damn draw play killed us because we didn't have any aggression towards the Oline.

The thing that really killed me about that game was when Shibest called a fakepunt then called a TO as the ball was snapped. Without that timeout it was first down, but he did it then called the exact same play next try.

Doing the same fake play on the punt is hilarious.

In Nutt's last 2 years as Ark HC, he proved without doubt that he was a CLOWN. Those last few years were like a freaking soap opera where the comedy was priceless!

I will give him credit for motivating a team. But, his coaching and recruiting is mediocre at best. Maybe mediocre is good enough for Ole Miss?

He wasnt mediocre last season. He beat Florida in the swamp, gave the Gumps a hell of a ball game, went to Arky (his homecoming) and won. Beat LSU at Tiger Stadium for the second year in a row. Shut out our in State rival. The won a game 94 percent of america thought he didnt have a snowballs chance in hell in.

Then he went out and got the 17 rated class on Scout and the 18th rated on Rivals.

My prediction for the season is and always has been 10-2. With a loss to USCe and one to either Bama or LSU. Is 10-2 what every Ole Miss fan/poster has us predicted at? No or course not Im sure SouthernStunna has us going 13-1 beating Florida in the SEC Championship and losing to his homer UT Longhorns in the BCS. Im also sure WRT predictions are laughable.

The same predictions are made by other teams rantards like LuckyLee, CPA, Klaus, LSUFoosball (and who ever that idiot was that argued with me and elisha that Paul Finebaum was a credible source of info) just to name a few

But the fact is we wont know anything for 36 days or IMHO we have 52 days which is when we play in WB Stadium on thursday night.

So for the next 52 days we have to put up with "cuz theyre Ole Miss or Houston Nutt cant live up to expectations"

Jones,

I'm on record saying LSU is a 9-3 team this season. Anything more is just icing on the cake.

Your post = Comic Relief

one more thing, paul finebaum is a douche. he is so irrelivant to anyone outside of bama. so stop getting butthurt over what he said ab your team, nobody cares what he says!

We go 11-1 in the regular season and lose the SECCG.
That's my pick.

SEC teams he had a winning record against...

Ole Miss 7-3
Miss St 9-1
S. Carolina 7-3

If you take away the shitty teams from any coach, their record is going to be worse.
do the same math on the other teams that are of Arkansas stature (South Carolina, Auburn) and you're going to find similar results.
