Easy now, I wouldn't go that far yet. It's only been 3 games for goodness sakes.

If you are in marketing...you know it doesn't matter who the customer is but that they are customers. Right? Writing articles is new to me. I have always did radio. However, I have been asked to write weekly articles for two decent size papers because of the popularity of a few I have put on there. My job is to get people to my site and my programs.

They mean a lot in the grand scheme. When you lose two stud linebackers you have to make sure not to expose the replacements until the studs return. They have got enough pressure to force 4 interceptions already. They need to get more sacks....true. However, you cannot deny the facts that are stated.

You never know as a fan why a pass is overthrown or under-thrown. Was it a bad route.....went out when he should have went in. I know Murray is not a blame-guy and he has been talking to the players after the play.....like you cut that route off too early.

I understand the concepts and the fundamentals of a football game QB/WR. Timing, route running, etc. I get it. Rewatch the Coastal game and tell me that most of his errant throws were because of those errors. They're not IMO. They were just bad passes. I think he's a great QB, but I think he has a ways to grow.

How many tackles for loss? Also I'm curious about other stats such as QB hurries and stuff like that. I personally think pressuring a QB is the most neccesary component of a defense.

I did not mean to imply that he isn't any good, just that he isn't the answer for the Bulldogs specifically, so we should get to haz him now.

I'm still pissed you pulled him.

He did have a few bad passes. He was still 18/26. No quarterback is perfect. I can remember a butt load of bad passes from Stafford. The QB has to adjust as well. He start having errant passes as he is trying to hard.

Also, consider who they were playing. You tend to lose focus a few drives in those games.

***I am not trying to say he has been perfect. However, when you have all new WR's and RB's and you put up those stats you're not struggling. He will get better and better as the season goes. He has a lot of confidence in Mitchell and that will help.

Agreed. They are second in pass defense BTW.

20 tackles for a loss, not sure about the hurries.

I would also like to put a thought into this discussion. Both USCe and CC were getting away with absolutely egregious holding. Not saying that UGA wasn't either ( esp the USCe game), but that does truly effect whether you sack or hurry a QB. By the end of the game on Saturday the refs were calling holding on UGA if they so much as touched a DL for longer than 3 seconds, and were letting ridiculously obvious holds go for CC. Not really complaining, just explaining. CC needed all the help they could get. Also their style of O, if you throw your ears back and charge the QB, you will pass the play. I also think think that with Lott ramping up to full speed, you will be surprised by how it affects the DL play. I just think he is one of those players who always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

I mean, that argument can be made for every team. I played OL and DL in high school and I played DL for a year (actually 1 game) in college, and I can honestly say that there is holding SOMEWHERE along the line every play...the good ones can hide it from the ref. There were holds and facemasks committed by USCe and by UGA that went uncalled, but for the most part they equal out.

I never said they didn't. Just said that the new laissez-faire holding rules certainly favor the OL over the DL. And every time Lattimore hit the corner, you were pretty much assumed of seeing a fairly obvious hold on the replay. ONce they called the hold on UGA, they should have started calling it on both teams. Hell, Garcia's first TD pass was directly because of an obvious hold.

Just wanted to let DGD know they have had 9 sacks in the last two games. As I said then (when UGA was second in pass defense) the sacks were not an indication of the play.
