i think the school goes after the biggest name and puts less emphasis on whether or not he is a defensive or offensive in mind. i think they just want a proven commodity that they know won't take long to get in a groove and will be immediately welcomed by the fans

never said Murray was the worst in the SEC but i instead said he isn't playing very well. look at your stats all you want i know what i have seen. i still believe in the kid but he needs to get out of this, yea i am saying it, slump.

if you don't like it then go write an article on BR about how stupid naysayers like DGD don't know shite and Murray is lighting people up

i just never have liked Grantham. I saw him as our last resort hire and i still see him as that. i can't even put a finger on why i don't, i just don't. no main reason just a bunch of small ones.

Yep. Because that is all I do. I would not expect anything less out of you. You are incapable of an educated discussion. If anybody should be mad at UGA it should be me. I am disappointed someone like you has not flunked out of there yet. Doesn't say much for the institution.

Doc you need to chill out a little bit man. Hopefully you're not nearly as emotional in your profession as you are on a message board.

Plenty of reason. He and benchmcelroy are far and away the worse fans on here.

He started by posting a stat as a fact. Then, when I used clear stats for Murray he ignores them.

Yea but I think he was just going by perception and the fact that we are 1-2 right now. He has had some bonehead, game changing plays (Clowney fumble), pick 6 throwing to Orson. While his stats have been good, he hasn't played like we have needed him to in order to win big games. That's the one area he hasn't really proved himself.

and i am simply saying that you cannot base what Murray has done thus far off just stats. if you actually would watch the games you would see his inaccurate throws, his forcing balls, and inability to make checks at the line. do i still think he is the best in the SEC? yea, but is that more of a compliment to Murray or an indictment to SEC QBs? i think both. Murray is a good QB who is capable of doing far better than he has done thus far. he puts georgia in a position to win as much as he takes us out of it right now and I think that is because the OL is playing putrid football, Murray is doing too much, and the play calling. he does much better when bobo realizes he needs to stick with short passing.

anyway i don't care what some self proclaimed sports columnist who writes on BR thinking anyone gives a rats arse thinks. you're a poser and that's why i think you're full of shite. you spout out stats that everyone else already knows but you base you're entire analysis on it. and for being so much older, wiser, and accomplished than me you sure do stopp pretty low and go for some pretty juvenile attacks and not even the shittiest AJC writers do that.

oh and fwiw i am in no danger of failing out

It is fine to say he has not reached his potential yet. However, to say "struggle" is a joke. He is on pace for 40 touchdowns right now.

The plays that he has not made are a result of a tough schedule while breaking in new Wr's and rbs. Anyone who expected for there to be know missed passes has never played the game. I played WR in college and I can tell you. WR's run their routs different....the break different....they need the ball in different places. He is figuring that out.....while facing two top 12 teams....and still completed 63% of his passes and 10 total touchdowns.

Name the qbs in the SEC playing better right now.

He ended up getting let go a couple months ago due to "trimming the fat" type layoffs. If he did he hasn't let me know. To be frank, I don't exactly have a penchant to flame other posters, so i probably haven't fulfilled my original intent to shadow his posts and pester.

I did however spam bomb his email with Alabama/UF booster newsletters and such, so i think i did a good job there.

Just curious...What is your degree going to be in. I can tell it is not marketing. You keep referring that I place articles on BR.....well....it drives thousands of people to my website. It helps me get in front of people who normally would not be in my region. Just simple math.

I can honestly say all you know how to do is criticize but you never have any relevant information. It is like the sack issue. Could it be that they have got a ton of pressure on qbs but not got sacks. Could it be with the injury to Ogletree and Christian Robinson that they have limited their blitzing schemes???? Maybe because they have a walk on and 1 week converted lb lining up.....just a thought.

I am on your side when i think Murray is a damn good QB, but his accuracy on throws was erratic against coastal. I agree with your Murray analysis, but in addition i think his overall play isn't up to expectations...

I feel fairly dough faced by agreeing with both of you but meh

You never know as a fan why a pass is overthrown or under-thrown. Was it a bad route.....went out when he should have went in. I know Murray is not a blame-guy and he has been talking to the players after the play.....like you cut that route off too early.

My point is simple. A qb that is on pace for 40 touchdowns and 8 interceptions and 63% completion is not "struggling". As his chemistry and understanding of his new receivers grows so will the team.

Plus....who else could put up those numbers with Bobo calling plays.

what makes it so much better is that i am in marketing and the only readers you are driving to your page are the dolts who think BR is an actual sports news source of any credibility

all of those are excuses and that means nothing in the grand scheme of things. it was an interesting stat i pointed out. we need more pressure. the DL needs to step up, our secondary has to hold longer and the LBs can step it up too. we can be more creative as well and take better to half time adjustments so when say Boise state comes out and gouges us play after play on slants that instead of playing a soft zone we man up and get physical on the LOS.

grantham isn't the worst DC but he damn sure isn't the best
