The SEC doesn't have the authority to force someone to breech a contract.
Don't be absurd.
people just need to get used to the idea of this game being cancelled. It's not like it would be the first college football game to ever be cancelled. Geez.
And why the frick is everyone so obsessed about it - yet no one seems to want to sacrifice anything to have it be played?
frick it and forget about it already.

LSU offered Fla. 7 different proposals, a fact which has not been disputed by Foley in almost a wk now. Fla's only "proposal" (read: demand) was that the game would be played in Gainesville only. On that Sat. As things stand now, Foley & Fla. win, hands down. They avoid a tough conference game & potentially have an easier path to the SECCG. And they do not lose game revenue as they have an insurance policy that covers that type of loss, minus a deductible of course. So, why shouldn't LSU balk at changing anything for the "good of the conference" when Foley put Fla.'s priorities first over the confererence's? The commish can not make LSU give up a non conference home game. No by laws covering that. So game will not be played. A sad state of affairs but it all rests on Foley & the commish.

You only had to read one more clause. Not even a sentence. A clause.

I'm all for it, but apparently Georgia's AD said "no", and Alleva for whatever reason doesn't seem too keen on the idea either.
Personally, IDGAF about having a bye week before Bama.
