LSU is off on the 29th of October.

Florida and Georgia play on that date. They also both have October 22nd off.

Simply move UGA/UF to the 22nd and have LSU play UF on the 29th.

No buyouts needed, no revenue lost.

Also, inb4 crying about losing off weeks. UF will be coming off Mizzou, UGA will be coming off Vandy. Sorry, no whining allowed there. As for LSU losing it's off week going into Bama? No biggie b/c you'll be up so far on UF by the half you'll be playing the backups anyway.

You're welcome.

There's actually an easier way. Buy it will require Arkansas

Not that easy, Cocktail Party has events that go along with it and arrangements have to be made with Jacksonville and that stadium

It's definitely one of the more logical solutions, and it's been mentioned by quite a few people.

Another option is move LSU-Arky game to October.

Another option is move SECCG back a week.

Another option is make Florida forfeit since they made the entire league have to deal with this crap.

Well...theres CBS to consider who planned on a 3:30 time slot for quite some time and they may not be happy about moving it? I dont care myself if we dont lose a major network broadcast...but thats me.

The Jaguars have a home game on 10/23

Wouldn't work.

The only date that works is November 19th and LSU is scared of three straight road games. Period.

Uforfeit refuses your reasonable request.
The solution can only favor UForfeit and frick over other teams.
It's almost like the rest of the league doesn't understand this basic dynamic.

Yeah, one itsy-bitsy little issue with that date, bigger than 3 straight road games...

We have a FRICKIN home game scheduled on Nov19.

There's nothing to make this right. 2016 Florida football should be forfeited altogether.

please tell me why LSU should take on the blunt of everything because Florida drug its feet all week last week? And give me an honest answer. I know you're a college student and probably do not understand all that LSU would be sacrificing to do that. Quite frankly, Alleva would be out of his mind to agree to that. They pay 1.5 million to buy out USA. They lose 6-8 million in revenue for a home game. They have to issue refunds, TAF donations, parking pass fees, etc to ticket holders. They local economy takes a hit, something many businesses rely on. Alleva estimated a net loss of 21 million dollars. And LSU is supposed to just agree to this because Florida refused to agree to anything other than an 11 AM kickoff? No, not going to happen unless the SEC plans on reimbursing LSU and its local businesses for every penny of that money lost.

And none of that even touches having three SEC road games in 12 days. The SEC schedule was set the way it was for a reason. It is a legitimate player safety issue asking any team to do something like that. But you want to ignore any of the aforementioned points in this post because you've made up your mind and refuse to consder maybe just maybe your AD caused all of this.

Tough shite for them.

They can have LSU/UF on the 29th instead.
