3/10 of the Top 10 in-state recruits for the State is Domination? UGA is the flag-ship school in the state and your telling that richt can only pull in 3 of the top ten.

Most of these kids grow up UGA fans and you can only pull in 3 kids out of the Top 10.

Domination is not the word I would use there chief.

I think it's your crimson and white shades speaking. Auburn alum and fans say War Eagle. I would see nothing wrong with Bama choosing "Camp Roll Tide" instead of "Bama Bound".

Drew, Crowell, Swann, and Rome, the top 4 players in the state, would that be dominant IYO?

Yes for this year. Again why now all of sudden is he SOOOO focused on keeping the top players in state? Why does he have to continue to resort to gimmicks to keep things rolling at UGA?

Richt is on his last leg. He will there two more years and then he is gone.

Who cares that is for orientaion of new freshman. This thread has to do with the gimmicks of mark richt and the lenghts he has to go to "TRY" and keep in-state recruits.

Richt couldn't even pull the high profile in-state players the last 9 years

What do you consider "high profile"? Here's UGA's signing rate of the top 5 players in state at the time of signing day for the last 8 years.

2010- 2 of 5
2009- 2 of 5
2008- 3 of 5
2007- 1 of 5
2006- 3 of 5
2005- 0 of 5
2004- 4 of 5
2003- 4 of 5

There's 2 years in their where we didn't do very well AT ALL, no way around that. But every other year we did pretty good, and half of the years (4 out of 8) we pulled at least half of the top 5 players in state. Georgia is perennially one of the top 5 talent producing states, so if you pull over half of the top 5 players you're doing alright. I'd call that getting some "high profile" guys.

why is he pushing this "dream team" concept

Because last year was the low-water mark of his recruiting career. We need to get the kids back.

And why isn't he producing with all that talent he's been "owning"?

Do I really need to post this again? I've already done it 100000 times. To put it simply, our defensive coaching has been atrocious as of late. And also, what do you consider "producing"? The man averages 10 wins a year for his career.

I thought we were talking about Top 10 players?

Why the change to Top 5. and Why not go back the full 9 years?

Why the change to Top 5

Because apparently you only care about the "high level" prospects, so I figured the top 5 players in state would be more up your alley.

I went back as far as the data on the UGA rivals page had.

That's not really that great when you consider he's had the good fortune to play UT in down years, UK, Vandy, USCe, and 1 or 2 OOC cupcakes each year.

He still hasn't had much success against his rival, which should be the measuring stick.

So you're basically saying he's a hell of a coach, since he took Donnan's players that were used to going 8-4 and took them to SEC Championships.

You don't think Donnan would have won with David Green and Pollack? He wasn't given a chance to.

Let's see...it's gotten us 3 east titles, 2 SEC titles, 2 BCS bowl wins, and 6 top 10 finishes, including 2 in the top 3. Bama since 2001 has 2 west titles, 1 SEC title, 1 BCS bowl win, less top 10 finishes, and less top 3 finishes. The only difference is a HUGE won, bama won it all. I know that, you don't have to tell me again. But I'm just saying yall act like Richt is some high school coach who hasn't won shite. He's actually won quite a bit and very consistently.
