It's just a giant cluster frick of finding how many MNC's a team has hell we could claim 5. I do but that's mainly to mess with the Bama fans that claim 14 or 14 or what ever number it is

Hell even if we grant you 64, a no-bull shite list would have Bama winning 66. It's quite obvious just from the headline this article is biased against Bama.

Exactly, the author jumps down Alabama's throat on at least multiple AP titles yet doesn't even begin to mention 1966 and 1977 which were much more worthy of consideration than many of the ones he mentioned. Ridiculous article.

Y'all could, but it would really be stretching it.

Get off our 64 shite, Bammers!

AP and UPI title for 1964 says otherwise. Are we suppose to use poll titles as the sole method, unless it suits otherwise?

From what I've seen, people come up with ways to discredit Alabama's national championships and then only apply them to Alabama.

Bama got the AP and Coaches trophies. Arky got the FWAA trophy. They can both claim it.
What about Mizzou and 1960?

Team B goes undefeated and loses their bowl game against Texas.

Team A beat Texas during the regular season to top it off.

Who is the national champions?

ETA: Only a bammer would pick team B

Well, only a bammer plus both the AP and Coaches Polls.

And Bama got screwed in that bowl game against Texas anyhow. Namath was definitely in.

Worst. List. Ever!

93 Auburn?!? Insanity....they were so scared of playing FSU back then, they paid them to renege on a contract.

Use CFBdatawarehouse.com for unbiased info. They show:
"recognized national champs" (BAMA #1) @ 14
"total champs" (awarded by one poll or org.) (BAMA # 1 again)
"total champs since 1936" (modern era) (BAMA #1 again)
And we all know BAMA has the most BCS championships.

Deal With It.

The CFDW updated their all-time rankings today too. We're less than 7 points behind UGA now.

I'll just leave this here.

9 AP titles (Bama holds record of the most; 3x back to back)
8 AFCA/UPI /coaches titles (Bama holds record of the most; 1x back to back)
7 Grantland Rice titles (Bama holds record of most; 2x back to back)
7 National Football Foundation MacArthur Trophy titles; (Bama holds record; 2x back to back)
1 Bowl Coalition title; and
3 BCS titles. (Bama 1st to win 3; 1st to win back to back)

That gap will widen next season and we'll break top 10 soon enough

Claims Auburn in '93 although they can't go bowling. Discounts Alabama because they didn't win their bowl games in a time when not all teams were treating bowl games the same.

Seems like one hell of a troll to me.

Yeah, OU had 15 total yards thru 3 quarters.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the writer of that article is either a Notre Dame or USC fan.
