I agree I think he will be good. As far as arm talent it isn't crazy to assume he is better than Aj but as far as running the offense i just can't see him coming in this late and being able to put manage games like Aj or Greg as long as the running game is solid I see him rolling out and dumping it off to oj at least untill he gets his hands dirty in the offense.

I don't understand why Auburn and Alabama don't have amazing quarterbacks. We always have 3 potential starters on our team and that's with us always losing all the good recruits. What gives????

So he had surgery just for fun

It was a torn meniscus. If you think that'd actually have long term effects on him

True it just shocks me how Coker is supposed to be so much better than who is on your campus. I try my best to keep up with sec recruiting and I thought Bama was getting the qb prospects they wanted. Is the hype around Coker because he is better than what you have on campus? or do you think he is as good or better than Aj?

Bama was/is getting the QB recruits they want. Doesn't mean they all pan out. Phillip Sims was the number one QB coming out of high school. All reports are that Coker is very very good. Will that translate when he is at Bama? I have no idea. He will be hard pressed to out do what AJ accomplished.

Well for Auburn, it's because of two coaching changes in 5 yrs. Gus didn't like what Tubs left him in 2009, and then quickly realized Frazier was a bust late in 2012. JC guys made the most sense in those situations.

Now that he's established, if Gus continues to go after JC guys, something's up.

Just now getting to Bama and he's suppose to be the GOAT this season.

Just like every other QB transfer in college football. No reason to transfer that far into his career if he wasn't going to play. Chances are he could have been the starter at FSU this year with the way Winston is screwing up his life.

Yep. The way our qb recruiting is going, we are getting who we want and are going to have plenty of qb options as long as Gus is our coach.

Perfectly stated. There was only so much he could do with what he had to work with when he came in.

You're right. Winston will have to assassinate the president to get in any kind of trouble.

Sadly, that's probably true.

Florida State can't afford to suspend him.

I will say, though, that Gus's record of HS QB recruiting is not great.

Rollison
Frazier
Moseley
Pike
Johnson

Tyrik Rollison flunked out, Kiehl Frazier was a bust, Zeke Pike was kicked out right after getting on campus, Clint Moseley was a late pickup and never meant to be anything more than a backup, and Jeremy Johnson is to be determined...
