If simply discussing something on an Internet forum is correlated to your "level of care," I'd have to say you are absolutely obsessed with Alabama seeing as you're in the majority of their threads.
And Auburn wasn't in the 04 championship game, so it doesn't count. But I don't blame you for reaching.

Ok......I guess I don't get it. Out of all the top QBs Alabama has gotten, how is a transfer QB the favorite to start? From the highlights I've seen, I don't see the appeal. Saban does have a history of taking mediocre QBs and making them overachieve, though. JPW was acquired by Saban and AJ was somewhat elite. Matt Mauk, Greg M, and Matt Flynn(top ten in high school, though) were hand picked from Saban, all won NCs. I guess we'll just have to see. I expect a running, conservative offense this year. Much like us.

The only question I have is why do people think Saban went after Coker? Do people believe it was because of what one coach said, or by his own determination of Coker's upside?

I'd guess because he realized he didn't like what he had and went all in for whatever QB happened to be transferring that could play immediately.

We have Bateman, but he's still learning and growing.
We have Cornwell, but he's gonna redshirt.
But before them? AJ and P Sims were good coming out, but P Sims didn't pan out here.
