You forgot GA Tech.

Most likely B10 invites: UVA and GA Tech. Or, UVA, GA Tech, and UNC, Duke.

Probably but two of those schools think Lacrosse is a real sport so they can't be as bright as they claim

Carolina and Duke would be byes for any SEC team. Their weaknesses would cause huge headaches in creating balanced schedules. (Football)

On the flip side, the polar opposite would be true for basketball.

I think they could adapt to baseball pretty quick.

Prediction:
Players start getting paid. Inequities flourish. NFL steps in , CFB becomes minor league football. Some schools revolt, want to return to amateur "student-athlete" sports, more schools jump on board, but not the SEC. NFL just moves their "minor league" to municipalities and away from schools to avoid all the headaches given to them by the university presidents. The revolting schools reestablish an NCAA-like oversight organization, tell the NFL to frick off. College football becomes like college baseball and order is restored!

All of those proposed teams would impact the SEC way better than Mizzou has. Plus they actually make some sense geographically.

dook would, UNC football has the potential to be a threat and i think Fedora is right man to help us reach our potential

and UNC baseball doesnt have to adapt, we've made like 5 of the past 7 CWS

id be ok with either. UNC/Duke brings in a new state and instantly bolsters SEC basketball and only strengthens SEC baseball. NC State/VT brings in 2 different states and you get a respectable football program and a basketball program that has its years. id rather it be UNC/Duke though

Best option is definitely NC and either UVA or Va Tech. Makes by far the most sense. The only school I really don't want is NC State.

It's ridiculous that people compare NC State to Mizzou. Mizzou is AAU. Mizzou owns their state completely. Mizzou has a better AD. Mizzou doesn't have their BoR controlled by another school.

Duke/UNC would be ok. Bolsters academics and UNC is probably worth taking Duke. Certainly upgrades bball but that doesn't move the meter. Mainly though it only adds one state and 2 mouths to feed but at least NC is a good sized state.

Can't see it happening though unless NC State is going Big 12. UNC can't dump NC State without a place to land politically.

These conferences are about athletics, not academics. No one cares about Missouri.
