Ah, so just put your fingers in your ears and stomp your feet.

The pace of the offense changed after the USCe game in 2011. That's something you can't dispute, as you know, there is actual data & results to back that up.

The 2011 offensive coordinator was Gus, but Chizik handicapped him
Can we stop repeating this. It was the amalgamation of not SEC level players trotted out at quarterback. It wasn't Malzahn's system or Chizik's meddling
You'd be wrong. Gene Chizik meddled with the offense and defense. Mainly the defense throughout his time at head coach, but he started on the offense in 2011 as well. Joeyb is exactly right.

Generally, I take the word of the fans of the team because they live and breathe it in a way I don't. However, after you guys spent months making the case that Theodore Roof didn't know what the hell he was doing, it turned out that you guys had bad info on that. So while I do not dispute or have an opinion on whether Chizik meddled, what I absolutely know is that the guys playing quarterback sucked and shoulder much if not all the blame for the lack of success. I feel like after living through the JJ era, I know how you guys feel.

Actually, as far as records go it didnt happen. It is VACATED. Personally I think it should be counted as a UT win.

Meh, I wouldn't exactly say that. PSU was decent on defense this year while playing an extremely weak schedule. They played 6 teams with winning records and gave up over 24 ppg. Played 6 teams with losing records and gave up 13.7 ppg. Gave up over 200 yds rushing per game against the teams with winning records and 54 to teams with losing records. The 3 ranked teams they played averaged over 31 ppg. Their 3rd down conversion rate was still in the bottom half of the conference at 37%. I'd put their defense on the level of about MSU from this past season.

Purdue: 6-7 (3-5)
Indiana: 4-8 (2-6)
Illinois: 2-10 (0-8)
Iowa: 4-8 (2-6)
Temple: 4-7 (2-5)

So, they finished 16th in scoring defense. Good for Roof. First time he could break into the top 20 in scoring defense in his entire career.

I don't think anyone disputed that.

No. Because it still counts as a loss for UT on the record books.

So while it didn't happen for Alabama, UT still lost. Sucks.

Look man, rivalries don't just come and go with streaks or coaching changes. Our rivalry with UT dates back a century. So no, one streak doesn't end a rivalry.

I'll go with 9. I think Butch has a solid recruiting class coming in a pulls an upset. But in the next 20 games I don't see Tenn winning more than 3.

Many Auburn posters were dead wrong. They said that Roof couldn't coach defense and that he was the problem. I'm not saying he's Buddy Ryan, but he was and apparently is more than capable of putting a defense on the field that isn't in the bottom two in most meaningful categories, no?

Actually it doesnt count as a loss. we lost seven games in 2005. Records have us losing 6.

2007 10 4
2006 9 4
2005, Alabama had to vacate a win due to a textbook scandal, but opponents records are unchanged.
2005 5 6
2004 10 3
2003 10 3

That's because there were only 11 regular season games in 05 (and 04 as well). So it still counts as a loss.

It doesn't count as a loss. It's as if the games never even happened. Alabama's official record for 2005 is 0-2.

It's funny to hear the butthurt fans of other teams tell us about our rivalry. Where were they when UT won 7 in a row?

Bama fans are taking all the criticism wrong. Rather than defend the Third Saturday in October to kids who don't know about their football history, we should be laughing at the fact that our most storied rival sucks so badly that others think the SEC office conspires to keep us playing them.

It isn't much of a rivalry at all anymore, but let's pretend it's one.

How many in a row does Tennessee put on Alabama? It's at 6 right now and I easily see it getting to 10.

I remember not too long ago saying this, I guess we should have put an end to it then too? Moron

Auby fan jealous they've never embarrassed Bama for the better part of a decade
