It isn't much of a rivalry at all anymore, but let's pretend it's one.

How many in a row does Alabama put on Tennessee? It's at 6 right now and I easily see it getting to 10.

How many will it get to?

6. Butch Jones will spend every week of practice from here until the third Saturday in October trying to outscheme Nick Saban, and pull off the miracle upset.

I good question is which streak will end first?... UT's consecutive losses to UF or Bama?

I'd feel this way to if our "natural" rival was South Carolina

Nah, UT wouldn't qualify anyway. 3 in a row has made that series a little boring. A shame too because we used to have some great games.

Wow good call. I'd completely forgotten about that old rivalry.

Just looked up the current streak and UF is at 8.

I seriously think that Tennessee is in serious danger of becoming a bottom dweller in the SEC.

They also haven't even beaten Auburn this century.

Both will probably happen before State beats LSU again.

11 out of 13 if you count the 1993 forfeit and ignore the 2005 vacated win.

Its been worse.

Then again, so has the Bama-Auburn rivalry. Does that make it less of a rivalry?

And that is the core issue at hand. Will UT ever get back out of the SEC basement? If the answer to that question is yes, then the Bama/UT rivalry still has merit. If the answer is no, then we might as well just stick a fork in it.

There is a better chance of of Tennessee beating illiteracy, rickets, and lock-jaw in the state first...

At least when Auburn or Alabama has gone on streaks the games have been competitive.

Aside from the freak 2009 game where everything went right fot UT in the last 2 minutes, the games have sucked.

Auburn has the better winning percentage than UT, I believe... UT has won more games b/c they've played more games (16 more)

Like 2008, 2011, and 2012? You haven't scored an offensive TD since 2010.
