No, I think you've gotten better actually.

Did I say "troll your balls off" at some point?

I must have been on the reefer.

Ok, well that makes it even weirder. Tulane shares a state with LSU, and is not considered a rival, which is why you never hear LSU fans talking about Tulane.

but you do hear Tulane fans talking about LSU.

That's because half of the modern Tulane fan base are also LSU fans (since let's face it, the teams aren't going to get in each other's way anymore).

I'm not joking. Most of the LA-based Tulane students just doubled over on Saturdays and watched LSU on TV after Tulane played.

30 years ago that would be sacrilege - but you would be shocked by the number of New Orleans residents that would like BOTH schools to win something.

Baseball and WBB are still heated between the two, but that's small-time stuff.

I think about 5-10 years ago the last Tulane fans finally said "frick it".

we offered to keep the game going and they said they couldn't b/c they had no room in their schedule.

they then proceeded to set up future home and home series with Ohio State, LSU, Michigan, and South Florida.

I know all of this, but how is it relative to the OP?

Not trying to be a dick, just trying to see the correlation.

Fair point. But the Aggies didn't get in the way of Texas for a long time.

Scary.

But truthfully, I haven't paid as much attention with the dumpster fire season LSU is having.

Ah, gotcha. Also a fair point. I definitely dislike the Longhorns and think it was very butthurt of them to discontinue the Thanksgiving game.

They were on the schedule, however. There used to be an annual reminder of who "top dog" really was. It all played into that UT-Austin supremacy deal.

Tulane is far more interested in playing ACC schools at this point in time. Our admin would rather deal with Duke, Wake, GT, and Syracuse than LSU, USM, and ULL.

Makes sense. I wish LSU played Tulane every year actually. If only for the trip to New Orleans. (I'm in Nashville)

Going by that logic, the big 12 hates Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, ect...........

And the Big 12 REALLY hated Nebraska most of all

We dominated aggie in every sport.
We have the better town.
We are the better school.
We have a rival - OU.

It's almost embarrassing to have these conversations, the discussion is so one-sided.

Like Arkansas and many other schools, we are A&M's ultimate rival. A&M was our rival many decades ago when we wrote our fight song & started our football program. Now, they are just another team we f***ing owned in every way. I feel the same about aggie as I do about Iowa State. Come or go, it means nothing to me.

I didn't create that line of thinking. I just repeated it.

I do agree with this. I feel like I'd never see a Longhorn fan start a thread titled "I Miss the Aggies".

Here's the tragedy about UT-TAMU (and LSU-Tulane, but to a lesser extent): the schools aren't playing anyone worthwhile OOC in lieu of each other anyway

Look at all of the crap that litters the schedules of teams these days.... (I'm talking about the random out-of-state buy games and FCS schools.)

There is literally an entire sub-board on shaggybevo dedicated to TAMU, old sport

You can get a ticket for tcu vs. texas really cheap.

Reason? Everybody in Austin will be home watching A&M play LSU.

Aggies have a better game at the end of year now. LSU is an upgrade. Get over it.
