CS has some legit bars. They dont have anything like a Gallettes on a gameday, but a nice selection. Dixie Chicken has legit burgers.
CS bar scene is just one area, northgate. while tuscaloosa has two(strip and Downtown).
in 2012 when ATM visited i had a convo with an Aggie and he was asking about the bar scene. I told him to go to downtown area. SOmewhow ran into him the next day and he was highly complimentary of everything Tuscaloosa.

Auburn has a bar that is open till 5 or so depending on the night.
That doesn't refute my statement that 2 am is pretty much the standard last call for America. It is.
There are probably a lot of people on this thread that have the perception of Austin as a party mecca. Last call is 2 here. EVERY bar. The state of Texas doesn't make exceptions.
It's 2 AM in LA. 2 AM in Boston. 2 AM in Denver. 2 AM in Seattle. Chicago, Miami, NYC are later, but like I said, 2 AM is pretty standard in America.

Columbia MO is a great college town. I'd have it in the top 15 anyway. Especially given the criteria they cited.

Athens at 39? I didn't read any further.

NYC is four. Honestly that's too late. Who wants to be in a bar at 4am.

The fact that Tallahassee is on that list is ridiculous.

to each their own but I dont see any resembalence between CS and Tuscaloosa. the area around the highway in Tuscaloosa is nothing to brag about about. But the area between Downtwon to the University area to Lake TUscaloosa area is pretty awesome. Highly underrated imo. But again to each their own.
I've had this conversation with multiple people on separate occasions and they all agree that they're very similar. I think you have Tuscaloosa on some kind of pedestal. Both are far from ideal, boring-looking, "meh" towns without much of interest in terms of geography or flora.

Austin is absolutely not a college town. It's a big city with a college in it. Calling Austin a college town is like calling Houston or Dallas college towns. Take a time machine back to 1980 and I'd agree, but shite has CHANGED 'round here.

No I think you have CS on a pedestal.
To each their own tho.

You obviously are unable to comprehend what I wrote. Go back and read it again, slowly. I put CS on no kind of pedestal whatsoever.

As for the SEC Gainesville and College Station are way too high and Athens is too low.
And its not even close. Terrible list
