Baton Rouge is the most underrated college town in America. Fact.

You've never been to Boulder, have you? Pretty, yes. Full of liberal hippy wannabes, yes.

Boulder is so different than CS. But it is a very fun town. And Pearl Street is a lot of fun.

Same goes for Tallahassee

Tally, as much as I hate to say it, is pretty nice. The campus is anyway. They've stolen a lot of tax payer money to make their stadium look nice on the outside and their baseball park is very nice. The campus is "hilly". There are tons of bars and lots of stupid girls for the young men to enjoy.

Tally the city is crap though.

While Gainesville sucks donkey dick, at least it IS a college town. Tallahassee is not a college town. It's a city.

The better places are not on Pearl Street, or The Hill.

Is wrong. And where did I say that Athens isn't deserving to be high on the list? It is deserving. I was talking about College Station.

every bar in baton rouge closes at 2 as well so dont feel bad. I'm sure that's not really abnormal. I bet a lot of places on this list are like that.

I'm not sure why people hate Gainesville unless it's all about the cops on game day.

I'v never been bothered but I know they are a pain.

I carry a blue dixie cup full of beer and have never been stopped by a cop. Now, I'm not yelling, slurring or stumbling either so maybe that helps.

There's lots to do in Gainesville. Parks, springs, museums, culture, restaurants, bars, etc.

I enjoy visits there even when football isn't going on. It doesn't bother me that folks say it's shite I just don't know what it is about the City that drives people to be so passionate about voicing their negative opinions.

Gainesville is often on most livable city lists. Low crime, lower cost of living, lots to do...

G'ville bars close at 2pm. 1:45 really.

At some point you realize nothing good happens after midnight anyway.

i've only been on gamedays. i have very limited experience with gainesville. all i know was the tailgating was shitty and too many people just went to bars where they were charging $6 a beer. and the cops were overbearing as frick.
