What about the meat and potatoes? For example, let's say in 2001, Big 12 had a bunch of 3-4 win teams while the SEC had a bunch of 7 win teams that didn't make the final rankings. Texas played 4 teams with a reg season winning record where LSU played 7.
I've always thought the strength of conference should be measured bottom up.

We haven't played well on the road in the SEC this far. Therefore, I have no feel for this game.

Naw, you've won twice since A&M has been in the SEC. One of the few teams Sumlin has a winning record against.
