The Kyle Allen that ASU will face is the confident mofo that was the MVP of our bowl, aka 22 of 35 for 294 yards 4TDs with 1 Int. Everything us Aggies have heard or seen this year show that Allen took a step forward preparing for and playing that bowl game and he intends to keep that momentum going forward.
I completely agree. I do think Allen is really good. I just think y'all are completely ignoring how good ASU's QB was when he played last season. Allen ended the season really well, especially against Auburn and West Virginia. I just can't say that I for sure think he's better when Auburn and West Virginia had defenses in the bottom half of the NCAA.

Fair enough. I mean the Bercovici's first two career starts are an NCAA record for total passing yards in the first two starts. Yet he is a redshirt senior, meaning he has been passed over as a starter for a long time. It is not so cut and dry to me what his ceiling is.
Carry on.
Carry on.

I agree that it's not so cut in dry what his ceiling is. But the guy who was ahead of him is the all time leader in total yards at Arizona State so it's not like he was playing behind some scrub.
I also very well could be wrong on the offensive line. It could be a push, or A&M could have a slight advantage. I just tried to give my non-bias opinion. This thread wasn't trying to bash A&M in the slightest. I just want to talk football and was trying to get some discussion out of it.

Um, wouldn't a starting DE want to rush the passer? WTF do you expect Chavis will do with him, drop him into coverage and rush 3? Ignorance runs rampant in these parts.

Dawgsontop34 it is obvious that you tried hard to put out something that wouldn't immediately offend us. That is admirable, you erred on the side of complimenting us and it isn't unnoticed.
But you must know us Aggies are like elephants- we never forget. You run up one shitty troll Aggie thread and we feel we finally saw behind the curtain to your true motives. A single complementary thread isn't enough to dissuade us from that conclusion.
It is obvious you have some ties to the west division and Texas in particular because you always know the regional narrative. If you want some real football talk maybe run up a disclaimer first so we don't feel like we are walking into a trap.

I bet, from your obsession with us losing it is obvious you will see it.
In fact I am sure you will watch every second of that game until it is obvious we will win. Then I feel bad for your wife/kids/dog/tv.

I think QB is a push with out a doubt. I would assume a lot of national media would even Jean asu's way.
OL is not in their favor at all though. They replaced both tackles from a very average line.

You sound mad. The other Ag tard sounds scared.
I will make my large bet on ASU and continue drinking at the Cosmo Pool. I wont give a shite either way and will probably watch the 4th if the Aggies are keepin it close

Jesus, lighten up Francis.
Given your grudging acceptance that QB might be a push, at least you might have learned something from the thread.
Arguably the most exciting game in the first week. Post worthy subject.

I'm going to answer for football's sake and I'm tired of trolling.
I think A&M wins, but it will be high scoring and close.
Allen will be far mor polished and he will be quicker with his reads due to more experience for him. Our WR corps is flat out filthy and should really do a good job punishing the secondary. I expect to see a more focused power rushing attack, but it won't be easy sledding to be sure. Offensively speaking, I think we really can work them over pretty well.
I think they also have the same opportunity to hit our DBs. The hitch in the ASU offense will the the new tackles. Garrett will presumably be hell on wheels during passing downs, and hopefully Chief can mold him into a better run stopper. Our LBs will be greatly improved but again, the weakness will be the DBs.
I'm going with a 44-38 victory for the Ags.
This might be one of the more entertaining games of the weekend.

I honestly don't give a shite about a single LSU OCC game. Like not 1% of a shite.

They moved a running back to rush linebacker bc they aren't getting a pass rush. I think it could be a long game for an otherwise talented asu squad.

I think A&M's going to win 49-45 as of now. Should be a high scoring affair and I wouldn't be surprised to see Garrett and Hall combine for 4 or more sacks. I just think there are question marks on both lines, and just IMO ASU's looks a little bit better to me. Depends on how healthy the LT is. If they end up starting the redshirt freshman I would probably put it as a push.

The only OL starter We replace is Cedric ogbuehi ... While a stud, Avery Gennessy is as well. RT Germain ifedi could have been a pretty high draft pick last year, came back for his senior year, and is staying at RT because AG has played so well.
You don't often get to redshirt top rated JUCO lineman.
