Don’t really buy our lack of physicality being tied to S&C. I think it was two things - a DC who confused the players and prevented them from playing fast, and an offensive shift to an RPO based scheme. Both of those things have disappeared this year and now we appear physical again.

Moffitt about to get these boys right. He's already on campus unpacking his belongings.

Listen to an LSU player and they are pro Moffitt. That's all I got.

Good to have a fair attitude. The man was very successful for LSU.

Kelly wanted his own S&C Coach and now Moffitt got himself another SEC Head S&C job.

I seriously doubt the man lost his senses since coaching a national championship team in 2019.

Of course the instinctive longhorn approach is to shite all over the man.

ETA: there is a documentary on YouTube about one of the LSU chefs where they reveal that the cafeteria was basically a free for all of ice cream and pizza and shite. Moffitt never stopped that. Cornerbacks could eat the same diet as offensive linemen.

Well that’s damning

I’d like to watch that

This isn't limited to Moffitt but you can't listen to players, the players loved Orgeron too.

They're 18-23 year old males, possibly the most unstable demographic there is.

As for the hire itself, who knows what will happen?

There were obviously some issues towards the end of Orgeron's tenure specifically within this area but not sure if Orgeron or Moffitt is to blame.

Kelly wanted a more "modern approach" and that seems to be working fairly well, so Moffitt sat at home for two years.

Not sure if he had no other options or if he was picky with the opportunities he pursued, dude is like 60 now.

No problems hiring a guy that is 60.

Some of these old men can be mean sobs.

I love Moffitt, but he is very behind the times.

Does he have those iron bars with fruit juice cans full of concrete on each end?

Good times…..

But why a long story to keep putting Tommy down with all the sneak dissing? Backhanded compliments? Grow up lol you don’t need a pissing contest to call Moffitt outdated and your coach cutting edge lol good grief, like this board needs you guys to really drive that point

Just say good hire and move along.

We have an entire nutrition center so not too worried about that. I think it is named after RC but can’t remember

How has it worked better than when Moffitt was around? His results on the field show otherwise. As the OP stated, he played a key role in the Tigers winning 3 national championships. How many have the Tigers won since he left? And the age thing? How old is Saban?

Our team is in much better shape and we’ve seen a sizable reduction in injuries. I know you want to believe a guy that has been sitting on his couch for 2 years is a homerun, but he ain’t.

Former players still swear by him. That's not emotional 18-23 year olds. Dude put more guys in the NFL than anyone else.

A&M got a great hire. Any LSU fan saying otherwise is just mad.

great hire for the Aggies. Should’ve never ever been cut when LSU hired Kelly.

According to many on here, other than some LSU fans, he is a great hire.

Great guy, great reputation in the profession, very well respected. When he wasn’t retained by Kelly most were relieved as there was a popular perception LSU was lagging behind in this area. Of course, who really knows, right? I know former players would always talk him up. Glad he found a gig, feels kind of vaguely stalkerish that Aggie keeps hiring LSU guys.
