Let's face it: Louisianans are obsessed with Texas a priori. Football, Texas A&M, and LSU notwithstanding. All they have to do is look at a map. (They do have maps in Lousisiana. I've seen some). We're the giant Germania looming o'er their little Liechtenstein. We're the Pacman; they're the dot.
I wasn't around the rant BEFORE A&M joined the SEC. (Why would I have been?) I'm guessing that the coonies were opposed to our inclusion from the get-go. And why wouldn't they be? They want the Texas and Louisiana recruits that we want. It was ever thus. Our coming here was akin to their having joined the Big 12 a few years back. Think about it. I shouldn't have to elaborate.

Arkansas also went 7-6, while TCU went 12-1. Arkansas looked like a top 10 team in a lot of games this season, but as y'all know the SEC West was really good. TCU may have had an easier schedule, but that team was really good and beat Ole Miss at a neutral site in their best bowl game since the 60s. I don't know how you couldn't find that extremely impressive.

They toot their horn at their endowment, state size and facilities.............but in the end, they haven't done anything of note athletically.
