I still haven't seen a valid answer. Ole miss routed Texas A&M in Aggie land, and we all know what TCU did to ole miss. But they run texas? Something tells me that the Aggs aren't as smart as they think they are.

A&M hasn't really won anything of significance yet in the SEC, no doubt. Still, if you think the rich alums and oil money don't matter you are a moron.
A&M is building the best stadium in college football.
A&M has already built arguably the best facilities in college football.
A&M has shown they won't hesitate to spend whatever they need to in order to retain their coach or to go poach an elite Coordinator.
The foundation is in place, it's just a matter of execution. TCU and Baylor bill never be elite programs long term because neither school has the resources to sustain success. They are rolling 7's and 11's right now but in the end they are still at the bottom end in terms of resources of the pathetic Big 12. It literally would be like if Vandy got on a roll and won the SEC somehow someone anointing them as "elite". Only Vandy has a LOT more money and is a LOT better school than either Baylor or TCU.

Most top 5 finishes in the state since joining the SEC, took best recruit in past 5 years out of Louisiana, took treasured defensive coordinator away from LSU
