No, we win by at least 4 scores (no troll).

And I'm not saying you can/can't (no troll)

I mean - come on. Your passing game is, well, it's solid. Our secondary, well, it's not solid. I'm not going to debate your ability to score/not score. What I'm saying is - in these situations, you have the opportunity to work on other aspects of your game that need "work".

The only times you don't work on these components are when you have something to gain by not working on them. JFF isn't going to win another Heisman (I'm not trolling). If Summlin runs the score, he could be trying to build a resume to get into the NFL. Why else wouldn't he take this opportunity to make A&M a better well rounded team?

I'm just saying, if you guys cover, you might have bigger problems on the horizon.

We will cover but go the under.

SMU surprised me that we didn't hit the over.

I don't know the last time, but I can tell you the next time: 9/28/13

As a bonus, I'll tell you the next three times Bert loses by ten points:
9/28
10/19
11/29

Actually wouldn't surprise me.

A quadricorn flying into the stadium wouldn't surprise me at this point

As evidenced by our first game against Rice, we don't have reliable back ups at a lot of positions. I don't think we can afford to let up without running up the score first.

I thought it was 42-19?

You're referring to the all-time record (which is 41-25-3, by the way). A&M won the first one in 1903, which I think is just about as relevant to Saturday's game as that record.

Before Saturday?

If I'm Summlin, I try to run the score up in the first half, and work on my run game in the second half

our run game doesn't really need help

we really don't run up the score. We have basically treated all our games except Bama as glorified scrimmages so far. Every single game that has gotten out of hand on Sumlin's watch we've turned it over to 2nd/3rd/4th stringers. I don't think you have to worry about Sumlin running it up. If it happens, it's more because you suck (like last year).

I guess my point is - is A&M worried they will cover the 14 point spread?

I'm not really but many people are very concerned with our defense. I just think you'll be forced to pass and it isn't your game so I'm not sure how you keep it close.

It's going to be hilarious watching the Hogs on here Saturday:

"Welp, that's 70, Ags. Sumlin is as good as gone. Suck it."

Sumlin will run it up Saturday, to be sure. But in no way will that indicate a desire to coach in the NFL. Drubbing shitty teams is what he's supposed to do.

What's more, Sumlin ran it up last year and still turned down the Eagles.

I wouldn't expect anything less. Like I mentioned, if it's a close game (unable to run the score up first half), I wouldn't see it happening.

I know this is all speculation, and I appreciate you taking it for the spirit for which it was intended

Oh, and this will be a one score game at half.

Arky will play inspired. TAMU closes the game in the fourth and wins by 14.

I know with all the shite I've talked, it's hard to believe, but I'm not trying to stir the pot

Honest question then - with all attention paid to JFF and the passing game, how many rushing yards per game do your RBs average? I know JFF averages quite a few, but what about the guys actually assigned to the position?

I know. That's one reason why 14 really isn't that far of a stretch.

Thoughts?

TAMU wins by 17 ish. I would take this bet, unless y'all are as really butt hurt about the band as the recent thread suggests.

I just went BIG on Aggie -14 at TopBet... Wanted to lock that in before it moves to -14.5 or higher.. Biggest bet of the year so far for me.

No I don't bet beyond what I can afford to lose, but thanks for the concern. After Saturday, good luck the rest of the way.
