Yeah, Mett just walked onto campus and told Les he was going to play for him.

Alabama is no quarterbacking powerhouse. Its biggest success at the position in quite some time is poised to be a bench warmer for his entire career...
Bama Qbs since 1977:
• Greg McElroy (2011 draft): one start.
• Brodie Croyle (2006): 10 starts.
• Jay Barker (1995): zero starts.
• Mike Shula (1987): zero starts.
• Jeff Rutledge (1979): 10 starts.

Yup, Cam made more than him.

Chavis was a cost effective option once our real DC went on to be a head coach. Once he wanted to be paid well more than he was worth despite diminishing returns, we allowed him to walk to a more desperate team.
Yeah that amazing LSU offense should be rewarded... lolz.

Considering Chavis was the only reason LSU won any games A&M should be able to finally break the streak, right?

A&M will beat LSU handily this season.

Just like the last four? Not going to happen

a&m's defense will actually be worse this year

Well possibly At least for 58 minutes. But you have practically zero talent at LB and secondary that can compete in the SEC. We return a veteran OL so I doubt a true freshman and sophomore DL will worry is too much.

They struggle to get a play call in before the 25 second play clock goes off much less read a defense.

I stated his intention was to hurt LSU. I stick by it.
Are you sure about his intentions? He always struck me as a guy who would answer any questions asked of him pretty candidly.
What is the context of the quote? Was this unsolicited or was he asked?
LSU seems strong in all areas except qb. I think most LSU fans would agree with this. They have enough talent to compete most years with subpar qb play, imagine how they could do with a great qb. Look at the final four this past year, 3 of the 4 teams had outstanding qb play.

I love the tamu trash bashing the LSU offense. Regardless of how putrid the offense has been at LSU, tamu has yet to finish ahead of LSU in the West, and hasn't beaten LSU since the '90s.
Laugh it up, I guess. Your Heisman winning QB and $5mill a year coach have yet to beat the offensive genius known as Les Miles.

We hired him out of UT for $700K. We won the SEC in 2011 and all of the assistant coaches received raises.
From 2012-14, Chavis was paid $900K, $1.1 mil, and $1.3 mil... meanwhile, his defenses got worse every year and he developed a reputation for blowing 4th qtr leads.
We were demolished by MSST, AUB, and ND on defense, and nearly pissed away the Florida, Ole Miss, and Alabama games.
Then he had the audacity to position himself for another $200K raise and strongarm Alleva into increasing the length of his extension.
At LSU, we refuse to pay $1.3 mil for a Top 30 defense. At aTm, you're willing to pay $1.7 mil for a Top 60 defense.

This A&M melt has to be the longest in sports history. Maybe only behind the Red Sox losing Babe Ruth to the Yankees

While they don't turn out first rounders every few years, they've never had serious deficiency at the position. You guys keep bringing up Mett like he was some hero. If I needed a qb, I'd take McCarron over Mett 10/10 times.

The post I was replying to was implying that NFL performance and readiness should be a factor in whether a QB prospect chose LSU. Since that poster was a Bama poster I decided to inject some reality.

This is why everybody is laughing at you LSU and THE reason your fan base is melting. You are like, "WTF did we just do?"
