They have not released an official report yet but the MRI showed an injury to the MCL not a sprain as originally expected. Early reports are that he will be out until the Auburn game.

If they give an official report I will post it later.

Bama was not the same team with him out of the game against Ole Miss.

Yeah, he looked a little too much in pain for it to just be a sprain.

Feel bad for the kid, but good for our offensive line.

If he is out to the AU game, the remaining SEC games just got a lot tougher for the D to stop the run.

I hate to hear it, but we can use all the breaks we can get.

I posted yesterday that I thought he would be out for the season based how that injury looked.
I figured there was a little bit of wishful thinking on the Bama fans part when they were saying he would be back in two weeks.

I told my wife that I don't give a frick who you're pulling for, when you see them cart off a big, bad mofo like Cody off the field and he has tears in his eyes, it makes you remember these are just kids and it's just a game. I felt horrible for that young man. When they showed the replay his knee was hit the exact same way Dorsey got it last year only it was dirty. I hope he has a speedy recovery Scoop.

I agree, got to feel bad for the young man...I know last year, Dorsey was never the same after Auburn.

How good is his back--up? I know he can't be as big...

I really hate to hear that. He was a monster on D for yall. Hate to see kids get injured and futures put in jeopardy. Hope for a full and speedy recovery!

Well LSU fans can relate to this type of injury, it's tough for a player of this calibur to go down, but that's football...it made a difference for our team, and I'm sure it will for
Bama too.

I was listening on the radio when it happened.Barry Krauss commented on how he waved to the crowd and Eli brought up Wesley Britt doing the same thing vs Tenn in '03. I thought back to the late Ralph Norwood walking off the field waving in the Ohio State game in '87 waving to the crowd.

Oddly enough its like the worst thing I guy can do is wave to the crowd. Its like a guaranteed loss of the season.

I think you will see some shifting take place. We have a big man that will probably move into that position. I think you will see several guys rotate in and out of the game.

We amy even have to go to a 4 front defense instead of the 3/4 we have been running all year.

Wow. If you're down to a back-up named 'Amy',you really do have depth problems.

Sorry about that Scoop. Key injuries suck when you are on a roll. Hope the kid is better soon.

3-4 weeks is what they're saying on the radio here.

What's the latest?

The Bama board sent me an e-mail saying his MRI results were public, but you have to have a premium membership to read the story over there.
