This is one thing Bama has not had to contend with this year: injuries.

The better your luck, and the fewer your injuries the more games you win, its science.

The backup isn't the problem. It's the guy spelling the backup.

I have felt all along that bama would wear down during the season. They have good starting talent but during the second half of the season games are won with depth. I think UT will give bama their best shot this week and bama will have to play hard for 4 quarters to win. They have not had to do it yet and I'm not sure they can with little to no depth.

I look for Square to play some. It will cost him the redshirt but we have no choice. Lorenzo can move over to tackle but we'll still be lacking overall depth without Cody.

I have no doubts that Chapman can hold his own but you can't replace Cody!

to Cody going down. You LSU fans sucking up to Scoop make me wonder. I don't recall anyone feeling sorry for us when we had 5 starters out of the SEC title game in '05 and then getting an because of it.

Did anyone notice that Greg Hardy, our best Defensive player was out of most of the game with a foot injury. i don't see why Bama fans can cry about Cody, when our equalizer was out too.

so goes cody so goes ua

he won't be back until au

he has damage and this has made him almost immobile

he will lose flexibility and gain weight over the next two weeks, making him even less effective

his body has been injured and it will take time to heal.

if he doesn't, in this time, maintain a strict diet, he could blow up in a month

seriously

inelishaaitrust: you keep speaking of you Handy Greg fellow!
We at LSU make not excuses for a non-existant RJF these last two weeks plus much of the game prior to those?

You always want to take a team's best shot when you play them, and I don't want any excuses from Bama fans saying, "Well, if we had had Cody for the game...yada, yada, yada."

I do wish the kid a speedy recovery, he's a hell of a player.

As of today, Cody to be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks. Surgery does not appear to be needed, only rest at this time.

Saban is giving his Monday press conference and he is still saying two weeks on Cody and then we will see, but you can tell he is bullshitting. He sounds down about it all right now. Totally different demeanor than any other press conference he has given. I can tell that he knows this is going to be a problem with Cody missing. He just said, "you can't replace a guy like Cody".

He was late for the press conference for the first time since he has been at Alabama. Probably cussing Dr. Andres out for not being able to fix Cody.

Don't get me wrong. I want Cody to be back in time to kick arse. I just don't want to hear whining about it for the next however many weeks He is out.
