I hope Dooley is at Tennessee for a long time

The last person I would expect to be commenting on head coaches would be an Arkansas fan after your retarded arse coach's press conference yesterday.

Many of the top candidates declined to leave for UT and there was no one left to go after. So they settled for Dooley. That's how I remember it.

Pretty much what happened

Iowa St. is paying him 20 mil over ten years and his buyout is only 1 million. I don't see Tennesse having a problem pulling him away if they really want him.

Is this thred eekwels meltdown?
Third game of the season. Did anybody seriously expect UT to finish better than 8-4 / third in the East?

I haven't compleyely given up on Dooley yet, but I am very worried that he may not be the answer. If he ends up not being the answer I think Charlie Strong would be am excellent candidate. We need a good defensive coach.. that's what wins in the SEC

Look at your record the last 4 years. Look at the disarray the program was in when he took over.

Tenn should win 7 games this and make a bowl game- that's a 2 game improvement. All 5 losses will be to top 15 SEC teams- State, Bama, SC, Ga, Fla....and hell, he could possibly upset State to get an 8th win and a better bowl.

New DC putting in a new system- takes time. Let him finish the job- if you bring in somebody new- it will just hurt recruiting, add new systems again to learn, and take more time to finish rebuilding.

Rebuilding in the SEC these days takes longer than it used to

0 game improvement from the team he inherited.

This is Dooley's own fault. No reason to have 2 DCs in 3 years.

Dooley is a very poor recruiter. He is the worst recruiter Tennessee has had in 30 years, why would Tennessee's recruiting get worse?

Name a coach who was still winning 7-8 games in year 3 and went on to win anything of significance.

Yeah...UT fans thought they'd be SEC east champs, but aint going to happen. Still can have great season...9-3 if changes are made and you dont continue with the pass happy crap. 8-4 more likely and you build on it...but you arent going to get recruits with constant internet coach searching and babble. Give this man a real chance to prove himself....he inherited a mess not of his doing....thank spiffykiffy.
