As much as this year was a disappointment, it was still the godamn ceiling for this coaching staff.
We struggled to 9-4, and we only even got there because of some incredible individual efforts by guys like Dobbs, Kamara, and Barnett, all of whom will be gone next year.
Let me say this another way. A quarterback with about 40 total touchdowns and a defensive end who broke Reggie White's sack record got us to 4-4 in conference play in a season where we may have played 3 good teams. Oh well, at least we won our meaningless bowl game. Raise and extension clearly deserved.
