Tennessee fans: how did you lose to Arkansas?

You started up 14-0 over them, and had multiple opportunities after the score stalled midway through the 3rd at 24-20. You were the better team and yet you could not produce any offense in the second half at home.
So what happened? Butch Jones happen? Or does Dobbs just suck?

That game had 2012 Auburn written all over it. Two highly inept teams trying to outwit themselves, just like @Auburn.

Because they weren't the better team.

We were outscored 7-3 in the 2nd half but that doesn't tell the story. We were DOMINATED most of that half but it stayed close due to Arky having a bad kicker and Bert. Conversely, we dominated most of the 1st half but allowed Arky to tie it at 17 going into the half.

I actually think this particular game was more on the players than Butch. Still unacceptable.

Butch is losing the team fast. He'll try to pull out all the stops this week because he desperately needs this win. But things may be unraveling soon.

Smokey gray = heartbreaking loss.
Like all our big games this year.
I may quit on Butch, but I really hope the players don't. This team really is talented, and getting discouraged and throwing in the towel would be such a waste. I'd much rather see us fight for a 6 or 7 win season than tank and miss a bowl.

Arkansas is much better than the record would have led you to believe before this game. When they get the running game going, they eat up tons of clock, limited your chances to get more possessions to score.
If they lose to Alabama, they will probably be the best 2-4 team out there, and that is not meant sarcastically.

Arkansas is very bad. I was amazed by how little talent they have defensively, especially in the back 7. They have little to no chance of success moving forward.

I mean one could easily say the same for Tennessee. We absolutely shredded your defense. I was surprised at how easy our OL pushed around your vaunted front 7 all night. Definitely nowhere near as good as they were hyped up to be.

Correct. Tennessee is not very good.
It is imperative that a coaching change is made very soon, as you saw Saturday night.
