So are National Championship embarrassments. See numbers above for an overall look at how both teams performed in each game.

The only major stat that LSU bested Alabama in - in either of the two meetings was rushing yards in the first game.

all round yes imo

Overall talent-wise? AU 2004 > AU 2010

Who would win in a hypothetical matchup? AU 2010 > AU 2004

The AU 2010 team was a force of nature... just ask Bama 2010.

More like a force of the super-natural

I've never seen a team pull more W's out of their collective asses than that Auburn team.

It was a really incredible year for you guys.

7 will be the NC teams. After that, undefeated 2004 Auburn, and 2011 Lsu. That leaves one team that didn't win it to vye for the last spot. Of that, I'd go with choices between:

02 UGA and 09 UF were both better than 07 LSU imo

Then go start a best stat of the sec thread

Again this is a best sec team thread. Congrats on winning the rematch. But IMO to be on the list you kinda gotta win the conference

I agree.

Which is why I have no doubt who would win in the hypothetical match-up between 2010 and 2004.

Hell, it might not even be Cam that wins that game. It could hypothetically be Nick Fairley stripping the ball out of Campbell's hands, picking it up, and running it 40 yards for a TD.

All I'm sayin', like you, is that 2010 is gonna win. Universal Forces would assure it of happening.

My list would include:

BAMA 09/11/12
LSU 03/11
UF 06/08
Au 04/10
UGA 02

And that team would be the only team that I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see something like that happen.

Then go start a "Ten Best SEC Champions since 2000" thread.

This thread is about the 10 best SEC Teams. 2011 Alabama is one of the best teams in SEC history - from a coaching and talent perspective, and they showed that by beating the absolute dog shite out of the best LSU team in program history on 1/9, and having better statistics in pretty much every major measurable statistic head-to-head, except for one.

There is absolutely no way to reason that LSU had a better team than Alabama in 2011, or that Alabama's 2011 team doesn't belong on this list. Period.
