The UK people got out quick. We've been known to set fires on Franklin too, typically for championship wins. One of my buddies burned all the hair off his right leg in 2005 when he jumped "over" a fire.

Kinda figured as much. meanwhile, in Columbia, the celebration continues. Students still swimming in the fountains on campus, five points going strong...we aren't used to this....

Did y'all hear GamecockNation raised enough $$ in 5 hrs yesterday to fly Gamecock Jesus to N.Y. for the game? They've started a gofundme to get him to Phoenix.

Ohhh..And Zion, it turns out, was not in NYC for the game. He was there for some kind of Adidas promotion. The crowd did the "We want Zion" chant bc they thought he was there, too. That boy has GOT to know how bad we want him here...And his dad said we are absolutely on Zion's radar even more since we've made such a deep run in the tourney. Please, God...I know I keep asking for crap...but help a Gamecock sister out and make it happen..along with winning the final four, the championship in men and women's basketball, I'll settle for the East in football and another National Championship in baseball..And make tater tech disappear?

ETA: They've already got enough $$ to send him to Phoenix. Gotta love GamecockNation!

Freakin' Joe Pinner is like 85 years old and doesn't know how to pronounce Huger.

It is incredible.

South Carolina State Troopers making U-turns on I-20 to give me speeding tickets on my way to and from Camp LeJeune.

And Parris Island.

I've spent way too much $ with Palmetto State Armory and I've played Harbor Town.

Moved to Columbia in 2008. It's home now. I'll be here until I retire and it's where I'll be laid to rest when my time comes. Columbia catches some shite on here and it's far from your quintessential college town, but I like it; I have good friends here, I was married here, we have a very nice, comfortable life here. I don't love everything about the city, but it's a lot better than most folks give it credit for.

Also, Charleston might be the best city in America.

All in all, I loved it, with the exception of the nasty smelling paper mill, cockroaches, and terrible drivers.

We don't have roaches in Charleston; those are Palmetto Bugs.
The terrible driver part, though, yeah.

Charleston is quickly losing the charm it once had.

I think most of the world would disagree.

The traffic is terrible, it's getting more and more expensive to live there, and you have to venture a little farther out than you used to in order to see the real Lowcountry culture, but the peninsula itself is better than it's ever been.

One of the most underrated states IMO. Grew up in metro Atlanta, moved to Fort Mill 5 years ago. I got married in Charleston in 2015. I'm on the coast every weekend, beaching at Pawleys Island or fishing out of Georgetown. Proud to call South Carolina home. frick Clemson

This place was featured on Top Chef Charleston. Rodney Scott just moved and opened up a new place in Charleston, but the Hemingway location is still going.

If you live in Hemingway and have a tree that needs to be cut up and hauled away, you can apparently call Scott's BBQ and they will come take it so they can use it for their smokers.
