That's debatable as to where that team stands in terms of our best, but it was a very good one. On the other hand, it was playing like arse to start the year, and not just against you guys. Prior to the Bud Walton Arena christening game you mention, we had just eked out a 3 point win over Central Missouri State on our homecourt. The surprising thing was more that that same Mizzou team went on to have a good year than it was that we got bitchslapped at the time, cuz to start off the season we were a steaming shitpile.

But again, we're discussing things that happened almost 20 years ago. It's time to make this a real rivalry. I know tFlagship needs one, and lord knows Mizzou needs it.

Nah see I think thats an important element to making any kind of rivalry. Mizzou-Arky will never be a huge season defining one, but at least we have some things in our mutual pasts to discuss.
My personal favorite was Mizzou's 89-88 win in Fayetteville in 1990. Nathan Buntin hit the game winner for us. Both teams were in the Top Ten at the time.

I'd totally give up Adams . At this point he's an obvious DH. IF we could hook Andrus for him and Kelly and Anderson, who is a minor league career guy at this point, it fricking love it.
However. Rosenthal, Miller, and Martinez are absolutely untouchable.
I'd also throw Wacha on that list.

Meh. We were ranked in the Top 20 all year long, played UCLA closer than you guys did. Not the greatest thing in the world but it was an enjoyable year of college basketball on our end. Which is pretty much what we do. You guys on the other hand have nosedived to 5 years outside the Big Dance and 16 straight years outside the Sweet Sixteen....ouch.

True dat. We are the Cubs of college hoops. But, if you are gonna be a program that hasn't gone to the Final Four, I'd at least like to be one with a shitload of NCAA tournament appearances, which we are. When you are a Final Fourless team and also never do shite in the regular season or make the Big Dance...like, say, Auburn or something...then its time to stick your head in the microwave.

Well that is dumb, with as bad as the SEC looks and us playing some of the worst teams in the conference twice this year, very possible we make the dance with a strong SOS and RPI.
Sweeping teams like MSU, Auburn, and A&M shouldn't really be that hard.

When do you actually accept reality? There's nothing wrong wih having a great program, that was ruined because y'all ran Richardson off, and have sucked ever since.
But maybe Mike Anderson will fix that. Right?
