I just read until I found something obviously wrong in his post. There is zero chance an 11-1 or even 12-1 Oregon has a higher computer ranking than an 11-1 Arkansas. He is just another biased poster.

They already have a decent lead as far as the computer ranking go over Arkansas with 3 games to go. Sure, Arkansas would have a win over LSU but Oregon would have a win over USC and the South Champion. Arkansas would have trouble overtaking Oregon in the computers.

speculating on how the rest of the games play out...

it is easier to predict how the computer rankings will shake out than the voting polls. This is where the "what have you done for me recently" principle kicks in. So if LSU drops 1 game late in the season I think it hurts them worse than either Bama or Arkansas due to their losses being earlier in the season.

I say that but of course it didn't hurt OU in 2003... So who knows...

If Oregon loses again it just makes LSU's win over them even weaker.

Ehhh that's Arkansas's worst computer poll. Absolutely no way arkansas would have a worse computer score. And I disagree that our computer score would be "much worse than bama's". I think they'd be about the same.

I'm not sure why you think this.

Don't you just love the logic saint. I don't have a problem at all with rational explanations on why Oklahoma or Oregon deserve it more than Alabama. In fact, I agree that there are very logical, valid reasons why Oklahoma would deserve to go to the BCS title game over Alabama. I absolutely do think Oklahoma has more quality wins than Alabama.

The thing that is puzzling is the absurd reasons LSU fans are coming up for why Alabama is out of it no questions asked and Alabama fans are brainless retards according to LSU fans for even considering the mere possibility of a rematch. The whole basis for this is this silly idea that you lost to the #1 team already and therefore you're out while giving Oklahoma which had a MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH worse loss than either Oregon or Alabama more leeway for their loss because it wasn't against LSU. The idea being that the #1 team deserves special deference and consideration at the expense of all others therefore other potential #2 teams are judged only in relation to #1 LSU with no consideration given to how the potential #2 teams did against the rest of the schedule. In short, LSU fans reasoning against a rematch is based solely on selfish reasons LSU has for that position as if the BCS existed to cater to the wishes of LSU or the #1 ranked team at any given time. That is the very opposite of arguing for each team's "body of work". I and others would have a lot more respect for the position LSU fans are taking in favor of Oklahoma if they were strictly arguing for Oklahoma's body of work but you guys aren't doing that. You're arguing for Oklahoma simply because #1 LSU hasn't played and beaten them yet therefore you should be able to dictate your BCS title game based strictly on that basis. Talk about an arrogant lame argument.

In this system that everyone agreed to play by there is no logical reason to have a team that doesn't even win it's division playing for the NC. It's a terrible system, I agree, but that's what we're dealing with right now. Funny how people only cry about it when they're the ones being left out.

This statement is true considering this isn't the NFL and bama won't win their own division if LSU wins out. After the debacle of 03 with OU I will be shocked the next time a team that hasn't won their own Division plays for the title in our current system.

Apparently if you bring up a logical argument like you got beat home it means automatically you are scared of a rematch.

Boom! Gumps, quit whining and hope for a LSU loss. That's gives you the best chance of getting in. As much as you and Oregon whine, there is a 99.9% chance of no rematch.

No, this statement is absurd because LSU fans are stating this as if it's an actual rule when it's not. The Oklahoma and Nebraska situations argue FOR a LSU/Bama rematch happening not against one. I'm not saying I think a rematch will happen btw. I happen to think the voters push Oklahoma just ahead of Alabama if they win out and a win over #2 OSU gives them an out to do so. I just find it incredibly disingenous of LSU fans to state with a straight face that 1 flip of the coin toss up loss against the #1 team at home just past the midway point of the season is an automatic disqualifier for a trip to the national championship. It's so intellectually dishonest and hypocritical when you consider LSU lost 2 games including their last regular season game and still snuck in the national title game. This happened because other teams lost as well. To argue that Alabama has no right to be in the discussion of a bunch of other 1 loss teams is just lame.

CrimsonSaint and GovtTide, how exactly would Oregon losing help you. OU would close in to within 1 spot in the human element essentially assuring the winner of Bedlam to take the 2 slot if LSU wins out. Don't forget the Big 12 has a very strong computer ranking and bama is about to play a FCS opponent. The computers won't be your friend with this and the fact PSU may also lose to tOSU on the weekend. It's not reaching for why bama should be left out. It's called rational thought and facts evaluation; something most Bama fans struggle with.
