for those of you saying that AU might/should get the death penalty- SMU was on probation already at the time they were busted again. AU currently isnt on probation. Correct? They won't get the death penalty, but (I am saying this assuming allegations are true-not that they ARE true) they will be hit harder mostly likely than SoCal, as this is far more serious.

I read on another board, more is to come on this story.

Including, allegations against another SEC school: Tennessee.

Who do you think started the bidding?

There are plenty of other perfectly innocuous possibilities if you take half a moment to think about it.

I did take a moment to think about it, and TCU has a bunch to gain with having Auburn out of the picture. Seems very suspicious IMO that is a TCU poster bringing this to light.

Huh? How in the hell did we get brought into this mess?

We had Lane Kiffin and Ed Orgeron doing our recruiting, and they were both as pure as the driven snow.

On a serious note, thank God that Newton was suspended for the first half of the game that Kiffin went to see him play.

Matt Simms sucks balls, but we only had to pay him $5 and some jaw breakers.

There's a good life lesson here: you get what you pay for.

If you are actually female, my apologies on the gay comment. I think most of the time I assume I am talking to a dude.

I am. Apology accepted.

So where is your info or is this just more of the same?

You can take it as more of the same if you want. I think more speculation will become fact as time passes. I do have connections with Kf.c and can assure you that it's highly unlikely that particular poster would just make something like that up for no reason... Something so strikingly similar to a story ESPN breaks shortly thereafter.

If somebody with absolutely nothing to gain regarding a situation suddenly predicts the future.... Call it a gut feeling... and my Spidey-sense is NOTORIOUSLY good.

but if they had tapes, he would not have been playing. there is no way those would not already be public by now.

They are letting Auburn and its administration hang itself.

Did you hear Chizik's tirade earlier?

Heads are going to roll and Auburn is going to absolutely get hammered.

Then you didn't think hard enough because if Oregon stays undefeated and LSU wins out - Then TCU will not be in the BCS Championship game.

ETA:

Wins out includes Aubbie ineligible and LSU in the SECCG, of course.

'Tain't necessarily so. The pollsters are not likley to reward LSU for for a forfeit by Auburn, if the Auburn wins are vacated before the SECCG. I am not sure how the computers would treat it, but I would suspect that it would be treated as no game, and we would have to wait until the result of the SECCG to see the true results of the a forfeit on the computers. I suspect that the pollsters will not move LSU above TCU and it may come down to computers.

On the other hand, if I were a TCU fan, I wouldn't take it as a given that they would be in over LSU, if LSU wins out.

The good news is - I'm a fan of both teams. I would love to see them both get BCS bids, but I'm leaning towards wanting TCU in the Championship this year (as it will be a rebuilding year next year for sure).
