Anyone heard this? Because of the storm and both teams having the same bye?

Jindal is already asking for voluntary evacuations in 15 parishes.

Week 1 BYE instead of Week 7 for Aggy?

6-6 at best.

It would sure be a tough break for La Tech. Good break for Tamu though. Its always a good day when you can avoid a guaranteed loss.

A hurricane has never hit Shreveport in the history of the planet Earth.

Nothing being mentioned yet on our side. I imagine we'll hear something in the next 24.

It wouldn't be the fear of the storm actually hitting Shreveport but rather the logistical issues of a massive evacuation being in process. During Ike or Rita (can't remember which) A&M had a game against Texas St they actually told people not to come to because Houston and Galveston were being evacuated and they didn't want the extra traffic. They ended up playing the game though. In '88 A&M had the "Hurricane Bowl" with Bama where they postponed a game and played it later in the year, though the Hurricane never ended up hitting.

Hope not. First week of the season would be a worthless bye. We'll need the one we currently have scheduled, prior to LSU.

If you greedy little bastards had just agreed to come to Kyle Field instead of breaking our balls and forcing us to play in Shreveport, we wouldn't be having this problem.

There are rumblings of the game being moved to the cotton bowl. All tickets would be GA.

If they are going to move it to the Cotton Bowl, they better do it pretty quick to give people enough time to adjust their plans and reservations.
