Waite! Waite! Waite! Oh thats right they played in the SEC CG but lost it, what a bummer!

Well, maybe someday they will be good enough to go back and play in it. Now, I did not say win it I said play in it. That is a totally different thing than winning it. They first have to have a Team that has good players, not players that plays on a good team. You get it? Just a play on words.

Oh, I forgot to answer the question.

False!

please show where I've shown that my "jimmies are so rustled"? I started this looking for more opinions and to show how delusional SunHog is.

you pretty much missed his point. He was talking about having infrastructure in place to garner winning, I think the correlation between winning and infrastructure isn't as high as he thinks.

I completely understood his point, and mine continues to be that does not equate to arriving in CFB. Not even close

No but we're 10 times better than we were 5 years ago. I think we're a top 15 job that can have a top 5 season every so often with the right coach

Arky is NOT a top 15 job.

Are they even a top 15 winningest program?

19th in all time wins and 23rd in winning % amongst BCS programs.

I would say its a top 20 job.

Unless they are just here to flame, I doubt anyone would say Arizona State, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Central Michigan or Southern Miss are better jobs.

A&M has two more wins than us all-time playing in an easier conference for the last 20 years. I think that says a lot more about your program.

Ummm LSU > Aubie recently just barely. Auburn = LSU all time.
They're pretty close historically, but LSU is the better program by virtually every statistic

LSU's 3 NC's > AU's 2
LSU's 11 SEC titles > AU 7
LSU's 735 wins > AU's 718
LSU's 64.7 winning % > AU's 63.4
LSU vs AU all-time 25-20-1

When they start winning nattys or SEC championships, come back and ask. BUT they certainly a team that shouldn't be taken lightly. Every season, I'm more nervous for the Arkansas game than any other game.

I agree. I also think they were right on the cusp of great things as a program. But with all that has happened this can't really be figured out right now. They rely heavily on recruiting.

Let's see...

Bama - 2 NC, 1 SECC in the last 3 years
LSU - 2 NC, 3 SECC in the last 9 years
UF - 2 NC, 2 SECC in the last 6 years
Arkansas - 0 NC, 0 SECC in the last 20 years

In short, false.

Is this an admission that most of Arkies wins came from when they were in a easier conference?

I thought it was pretty obvious. 13 conference titles versus 0.

Sorry my bad.

I don't long for an easier conference but I also only remember like 3 years of us being in the SWC. To me the teams we play in the SEC seem right. The prospect of playing Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor etc if we had joined the Big 12 just bore me to tears. That would have sucked big time.

Arkansas will continue to be really good this year, and if coaching changes don't affect them, will compete at the top of the conference. That being said, I can see a huge drop-off in the next few years. Better win it this year IMO.

A lot will ride on who they hire in December/January. (I'm assuming a new HC)
