I think a team needs to have a good superior streak in its somewhat recent history that is longer than 3 years for it to be considered for an upgraded level. LSU is firmly in a different phase than they were, even in 2005, because they have sustained success now for over a decade. That will stick with them even through the inevitable ebb that programs eventually see (not that it's coming anytime soon).
Haven't really seen Arkansas do that yet.

True: Since we had to fire BP we have drop the level of Bama and LSU........but havent dropped to the level that UF is......

Well you didn't reach the level Florida was, so that makes up some of the difference.

Right, that's what he said. We didn't fall back to Florida's level yet. Bama and LSU definitely made up a lot of ground on us though. Tennessee and Georgia are both still dumpster fires however. Auburn gains a ton of points by starting an Arkansas born QB. Big swag factor there.

False, you have to win atleast a couple of conference championships and be in the national title discussion for multiple years. Arky is on the rise but they are not there yet

You're not even on the level of Oregon, OSU, USC, Texas, or Oklahoma. All of who lost in recent times in the national championship game. But they were there. Arkansas wasn't.
Maybe you should aspire to those also rans first.

Sucks they lost. Maybe if they had won they could have been in the conversation of being on our level. Oh well, they just need to keep on trying.

There are six clubs that have:
1. Been to ATL and won
2. Been to BCS and won
3. Been to BCS CG and won (save UGA due to lack of opportunity.)
Elite? That's a pretty elastic term. But for SCar/Hogs to be considered in that group (top 6) they need to accomplish 1 and 2 first, IMO.
