Ummm LSU > Aubie recently just barely. Auburn = LSU all time. Not to mention Auburn has won a NC title more recently and also got hosed in 2004 while LSU got the luckiest break in CFB history to get one in 2007.

Oh and False in a big way.

Bama

Auburn, LSU, Florida

GA, Tenn

Arkansas

South Carolina, Ole Miss, State

Kentucky Vandy

Arkansas is really on a level all its own since they are better than Ole Miss And South Carolina by a good margin. But I wouldn't bunch them in with Ga or Tenn either. They haven't quite gotten to that level yet.

Really don't know. I know Tenn has a great all time record but haven't really been a force on the national stage in almost a decade. GA is a steady top 15 team and Arkansas has only been that as of recent so GA is clearly better. I still say now and always, Bama is the best of the best and nobody is on their level. Auburn, LSU and Florida are about the same. You can make good arguments for all 3 for the 2nd best of the SEC. Especially between Aubie and LSU.

A) All Time Football Record: 734-390-47
Bowl Record: 22-20-1
3 national titles

B) All Time Football Record: 718-405-47
Bowl Record: 22-13-2
3 national titles

C) All Time Football Record: 669-385-40
Bowl Record: 20-19-0
3 national titles

It gets even closer when you compare the last qtr century.

Bama has almost 100 more wins and over 3 times as many titles.

I should add GA in there too but they haven't been on top in a while and the fact that there last title was over 30 yrs ago is bad also.

Good points...I like reading up on CFB history myself. Probably the most important thing is what effects recruiting at present. TV viewing of say previous 5 - 8 years, with more weight placed on most recent years. In that context many of the SEC teams have a lot to offer.

Personally, as a LSU fan, I like the cut/paste history of my signature. Doing a homer chest thump without actually doing one.

1. Bama
2. LSU
3. UF
4. UT (more SEC titles than Auburn)
5. Auburn

The problem with this question is timeframe. What length of period is agreed upon?

Don't think it matters. Unless we are talking about the 60s and 70s lol. We have been better than Florida the past 2 seasons though. May make it 3 in a row.

Bama, LSU and Florida are still a step below Arkansas but have definitely made strides recently.

The correct answer.

Seriously? You let your jimmies get so rustled after arguing with ONE Hog fan in another thread that you started a new thread to try and garner more support to make yourself feel better? I bet in a couple weeks we'll hear the "Hurr...durr...every hog fan started a threads about how they were on Bama and LSU's level!!111!!"

By the way, I don't necessarily agree with SunHog on this and you pretty much missed his point. He was talking about having infrastructure in place to garner winning, I think the correlation between winning and infrastructure isn't as high as he thinks.

I thought Ole Miss broke a record with consecutive conf games lost. But I look at SCe and they had back to back 0-8 finishes.

bc I'm curious to see others' opinions on how success should be measured in FB. Forbes and the WSJ and having the ability to pay a lot of money for a FB coach or actual results

the answer is actual results.....unless you don't have any results, than you fall back on the other options.

you can see the Promised Land, but like Moses,
you will never set foot in it. Right now, today, is the high water mark for Ark football for years to come, and that's because
Gus Malzahn is going to take a lot of 3 and 4 stars to Ark State.
Better win this year, because it will be down hill from now on.
If Gus stays at Ark State,
