Exactly, and since nobody at Tennessee actually gives a damn about women's basketball, I doubt that Pat would have been forced out unless it was absolutely necessary.

Relatives in Knoxville say that Summitt's son had input on her decision. He encouraged her that it was time or so the rumor goes.

Wouldn't surprise me. She's far worse off than most think. From what I heard, she can't really do live TV anymore.

Early onset alzheimer's moves a lot quicker than when it occurs during old age. It's pretty terrible. I have no doubt her son and those who really cared about her got her to quit.

I have not read the thread, and maybe someone else commented the same,but should an employer not have the right to reduce the responsibilities of a person who has been diagnosed with dementia.

I work construction, which is a bit different. If something bad happens because of a person with the problems of Summit, someone other than Summit could be held personally liable.
