There was a good number of Gump fans at Mississippi State when I was in School there, but then again the Alabama state line is only about 45 miles away from Starkville.

My mother attended bama for one year even though her whole family were Auburn fans. I think it was because of a certain boy. That didn't last long. She married an Auburn man and now has 3 offspring who are AU grads and has been actively cheering for Auburn since 1949.

I grew up an Alabama fan and started dating a girl at the end of High School. We both went to a local JUCO and then she decided she wanted to go to Auburn. I followed her there and now we're married with a daughter so I'm pretty sure I made the right decision there. I tried to pull for Auburn when not playing Alabama but the fans there are literally just too ignorant. It made me hate Auburn more by attending there. I have some friends that are good Auburn fans but when you're subjected to the morons of the fan base on a daily basis, it really is too much to handle.

I grew up in Alabama but moved to Mississippi at the age of 13. Both my parents are Bama Alumni (it's where they met). We are still season ticket holders, they have had them since I was a little kid. I can't just turn my back on something like that, something that I've loved so long JUST because I go to Ole Miss.

You will see someone wearing a Bama hat every now and then but not that often.

I'm born and raised UF fan and came to Ole Miss. At first i was Pro UF all the way, now i cheer for the Rebels in all sports besides football. And even in football its close i hate it when UF and Ole Miss play in football. I was at the Swamp for the 31-30 upset and i was mind blown i didnt know what to do.

I still have a couple UF shirts up here though but i dont wear them all that often normally just around the house and such.

Not a SEC school, but Southern Mississippi has a ton of LSU fans due to their student body being largely composed by MS gulf coast and southeast Louisiana area/NOLA students.

I grew up an avid Bama fan and decided to go to school out of state to UGA. I do not pull for Bama any longer.

This is more common than you think. People are fans of one school and attended another.

i hate that fricking shite. it's especially prevalent on the northshore. bunch of rich pussies that were "too good for LSU" but because Southern Miss sucks balls they pretend to be LSU fans when it comes to athletics. these people

I am from Baton Rouge and cheer for LSU but am in my 4th year at Ole Miss.

Reason is because I am from Baton Rouge and wanted to leave. LSU would've been 13th grade. Ole Miss was a logical choice. Not too far, but not too close (5 hour drive). Girls aren't too bad either.

ETA: I am very flamboyant in my LSU fandom as well. Ask OMLandshark or EasyJTeasy(roommate). I go back home for the football games.
