Grad students (alma mater is another school), scholarships to one school, but grew up cheering for another. Plenty of reasons. I don't see it as a real problem. I graduated with a guy at Alabama that was a huge Notre Dame fan growing up. I knew a grad student that got his bachelors at Tennessee.

I wouldn't call it a trend, but at the same time if you get a scholarship, or the field you want to go into is better at one one school than another, etc It's pretty common. I almost went to the barn cause they offered me a scholarship, and I'm a huge Bama fan, and would have remained one while there.

good points...but when your number 1 is not playing the school you are at...you don't cheer for them at all? Or hope your future alma gets beat each week? Only counts for true rivals i figure.

PS: take grad school out of it

Tough decision, glad I didn't go to the Barn!

I only know of one instance where this has happened. A buddy of mine grew up in Valley, AL. Lifelong Tide fan, bleeds crimson and white. Where did he get his degree from? Take a guess...

I worked with a douche at Aubunr that was a huge Bama fan. He would not shut up about it. Never understood how he could pay the tuition money, walk on campus, and absolutely hate every minute of it...maybe that is why he is a douche.

It all depends. I know several people at Alabama and Auburn that I would say are just as much UGA fans as they are fans of their school. Could not get into UGA came over to Alabama for college and still pull for UGA. But I think by the time they graduate the school they attend probably passes uga.

I grew up a Georgia fan. Still pull for them every game but one.

Yeah, I know. I watched them on tv, but decided to work in the yard because I planned on going this weekend for A-Day. But, I get a call last night that my step-grandad passed away, so now I'm going to South Carolina on Saturday instead.

Appreciate it, but I wasn't actually that close to the guy. Just going for my grandma.

Did we actually fill the stadium for once?

Yeah man the place was packed Friday night. We had a great time. The only complaint was the effing net that went all the way down to the outfield wall.

You must have seen that same guy walking around campus with a florida t-shirt on yesterday. I saw him around PFT at about 3. Something about it just makes you want to beat his arse right there on the sidewalk

I only rarely see SEC stuff here (mostly LSU when I do), but a TON of Texas and OU stuff...makes me want to stab people daily.
