Richt has lost to UK more than once and a bowl game to UCF. In my opinion they both are not elite coaches. Richt is an underachiever. Muschamp is still learning how to be a coach. I would have never hired the leghumper.

Richt has had some misfortune whereas Muschamp just isn't very good

I'm not defending Muschamp...But, how the hell do you not consider the injuries at UF last season misfortunate?

You know what's noteworthy? If Arkansas won twice as many games next year as they did in Bert's 1st season, they still wouldn't have as many wins in Bert's 1st 2 seasons at Arkansas than Spurrier had in his 1st season here.

Yes and 5 of our 11 SEC losses in the last 4 years were in 2010 alone.

I'm still wondering why UGA is considered an easier program to win at than USC? There are no distinct advantages

They've got tradition and a massive talent base to their advantage.

Things will even-out over time though.

I tend to agree. Many want to say Georgia has a better recruiting base, but recruiting has gone national BIG time everybody comes int each others states. Other than Georgia having alot of talent out of High school....South carolina has easy access to Georgia, Florida...even Spurrier should be able to draw out of Florida big time.

I am sure you are trolling if you believe Muschamp has done more than Richt.

When did I say that?

That was the conversation was about...I assumed since you were commenting in the conversation that is what you meant. You certainly insinuated it.

sure, that's misfortune. But the misfortune I'm speaking of is more along the lines of losing by 1 yard to Alabama on a play where the only time in the last 1000000 years the player should have purposely dropped the ball.

Muschamp has taken over a team with much more history and talent than the majority of the conference, yet has managed to squander it all to nothing while his in-state rival in FSU has flourished.

Saban had success his first year with the Dolphins and still went to Alabama.

And East titles and bowl wins since he became a hc.

I think this is where you insinuated that Muschamp had done as much as Richt.

Like I said I'm not defending the guy. I have very little faith in him to right the ship.
AS for FSU, they have a once in a couple of decades type talent at QB.

Completely agree. I don't see AU or Bama struggling to recruit even though they compete for all the same in-state kids.

hell he may turn it around. He's an X's and O's guy who doesn't take too kindly to losing. This season will be very telling.

Because Georgia had no injuries last year, right?

Better use that excuse on somebody else.
