I’d only expect the Aggies to get excited about another man “getting swole…”

And after those five starts the coaches of his own team had his name pencilled in as a backup.

Says a lot more about JTD than it says about stetson.

It says his own coaches did not think he was a starter so why would other teams have been dedicating the offseason time of their analysts to gameplanning him.

Do you really think that once we got to auburn, florida, tennessee, bama, etc that those coaching staff and their army of analysts just threw their hands up and said "well shite, JT Daniels was the starter labor day weekend to begin the season, wtf do we do now that it's someone else!?"

And by the way...heading into the 2021 season, opposing teams had 6 games of film on stetson compared to only 4 games of JT.

It’s hard to take someone serious when they use words like “context” to downplay how good a player performs, and then can’t explain any of the context.

But I explained it multiple times

Of course not. But it is not the same amount of time a team will dedicate analyzing film in the offseason of the guy you know will be the starter.

Notable DCs UGA played against in the 1st half of the season:
Brent Venables
Barry Odom
Derek Mason
Todd Grantham

All have been or now are P5 HCs or NFL DCs. Stop acting like these guys don't know how to prepare for the potential of multiple QBs playing for their opponent.

You “forgot” to finish the discussion. You never did explain the sudden talent level increase from 2020 to 2021.

Probably because it was many of the same players. There was no massive talent level increase. Bennett improved a ton though

Teams get better. They get different players, they mature in the system.

Not complicated stuff, dude.

I'm sure Bennett got better too, he just isn't a top 5 SEC QB.

Too short and not a good enough arm to ever be a legit top ranked QB.

He was in nearly every stat category from yards, to TDs, to comp percentage to QBR, pass efficency…

I guess in the “eye test” he wasn’t

In the sense that a lot of people think you could have put a lot of QBs in the same spot and they'd have done as well or better, yeah.

This is the holy grail of college football. If you can return "many of the same players" you're in good shape.

2007 Florida football went 9-4 and then 13-1 NC with "many of the same players." That's what you want if you want a championship.

Would be an interesting comparison. What exactly changed for Florida?

The thing is, none of them really improved all that much. They were good in 2020 and again in 2021.

Bennett improved a ton though.

I initially read this thread title as “shite getting stole” and thought it was a Cam Newton thread……..
