Do you think Alabama's defense keeps Dak under 350 passing yards?
Yes - I don't think MSU has faced a defense like the one coming to town Saturday. This game will be won in the trenches, toe to toe, man to man. Are the bulldogs physical enough in the trenches to go 4 qtrs with Bama?

I'm just not ready to crown this defense king after watching Les Miles run his rb into run stopping defense all night and expect success. The Alabama defense looked absolutely horrible against Ole Miss. The team that was shut out by Florida and couldn't beat Memphis' defense. I just think we need to pump the fricking breaks on this Alabama defense..

If your starting point for this game is our defense is overrated and not really that great, well, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Sure. We're not going to attempt to run the ball into your defensive line all night like an Idiot. Our defensive line and lb's will be just fine against ALabama's offense.

Based on what exactly?

State has played the easiest schedule in the West by far, nobody else even close. You haven't played a team with a pulse since you got pummeled by A&M.

Dude y'all gave up 40+ to Ole Miss. Struggled to beat Middle Tennessee and Tennessee. Question is what team will show up to play State and finish at Auburn? If any one of those teams shows up, y'all are in trouble. Best pray that y'all didn't blow your load against us

Oh, so you are going to employ the Texas A&M approach? That worked well.

Wut?

Also, I'm pretty confident that Tennessee is every bit as good if not better than State is. If they had played State's schedule I am 90% sure they would be 7-2, possible 8-1.

All I am saying is let's see how it plays against an efficient passing attack with a true dual threat qb. Dak playedd awfully last year, and we still should have won that game. If it weren't for Simms picking up two third and longs with his legs we probably would have won that game. This team is better at this point in the season than we were last year and Dak is 100%. And this is at home. The frickers are about to give Alabama hell- bank on it.

Any idea why he might have played awful? Just pure bad luck I guess?

You were down 2 scores with 25 seconds to play. But, ok?

Seriously, how on earth can you know this? You have played the 2 worst teams in the SEC, Troy and Louisiana Tech since you got pounded by A&M (who we then pounded the next weekend).

What exactly did you expect State fans to come in here and say?

We have no chance. Alabama's defense is god. There is no weakness.

Sounds good but can State do that? No.

Of course not. Something along the lines of "we have played well recently, Dak is excellent and if he plays his best game of the season and we get some breaks we have a definite shot to pull the upset". I'd totally agree.

But using the games against La Tech, Troy, Missouri and Kentucky as reasoning that the team is BETTER than the team last year is just kind of silly.

Yes we did. And arguing would be pointless.

Won that one by 27 points.

Watched any of Bama's away games this year?

Agreed.

Edit: Hit return too soon.

He was so banged up, he had been running the ball all year and actually had a banged up ankle going into that game. Also I think the moment might have gotten to him in that game, hence all of the over throws (including the wide open receiver in the endzone)

Your qb broke back to back first down runs on your last scoring drive, you don't have a qb who can do that this year.

Dak is playing at a much higher level this year. Anyone who knows anything about football can see that. Our receivers are more mature and better all around players. This defense has looked very good to this point against some pretty good offenses.

No offense, but this really isn't the same defense that Ole Miss faced. That was the 3rd game of the year and the DBs were extremely young. They have come a long way since then.

And to whomever said that the DB are poor tacklers. You're a fricking idiot.

How much fricking older are your db's? 6 weeks older?
