FYI, as of today I have more of an ole miss insider contact than I do at state. Almost as close as it gets. Signing day will be interesting.

This argument is made every year by schools which don't recruit as well as the powerhouses. I used to use it to justify Ole Miss' performance but SEVERAL studies have shown that there is a correlation with teams who have highly ranked classes and those who compete for BCS titles. If you look at the past several teams who have been in the BCSNCG, you'll see lots of teams who have put together consistenly highly ranked classes. Auburn, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, LSU, Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma... they ALWAYS have highly ranked classes. This is NOT a coincidence.

Agreed, but you putting Ole Miss and MSU in the same stratosphere as the likes of OSU, LSU, Alabama is fricking insane. Those guys get TONS of 5* guys. Ole Miss and MSU cream themselves when this happens. Ole Miss and MSU are mostly comprised of 2 and 3 star guys. IMO the drop off isn't nearly as bad from 4* to 3* players as it is from 5* to 4*.

Picking out a small school guy here and there in no way negates the fact that the majority of NFL players come from "Big" schools. I'm sure you can find a good many small school guys but also realize that there are 150+ players on each team counting scout/practice squad.

It will be. Certainly.

And, notice, I've never called anybody a lock, except maybe for Brassell. You can't ever count chickens before hatching or whatever the cliched phrase of the day is.

Corch said in his book that Tebow almost didn't come to UF simply bc of Mullen. Said Tebow wasn't ever a huge fan of mullen.

You do know that Tebow was Mullen's Best Man at his wedding, right?

We finished 5th in the SEC in 2010 and I'm betting we finish no lower than 5th in 2011.

State was finished sixth in the SEC in 2010.

Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, Alabama & South Carolina all finished better than State.

South Carolina made it to Atlanta remember.

If true, what was Tebow supposed to say when Mullen asked. I bet it was extrememly awkward since Tebow hated him...
