State is still just Leo Lewis and a collection of guys who couldn't get better offers.

The best DLineman in this game won't be in purple and gold. Jeffrey Simmons is a legitimate monster.

Jeffrey would be just another dude at LSU, and he wouldn't be forced to play out of position at NG.

If by "monster" you mean "woman beating trash" then I agree.

That said, our patchwork Oline better bring their A game.

I think LSU wins 34-16

So many blowouts predicted by each group of fans. This thread is going to get bumped no matter what.

You have no idea what yo are talking about. Your ignorance of state's defensive roster is astounding. Maybe take a look at the starters (and backups) and their offers before making such a dumbass statement. Or continue to say stupid shite. Your choice.

Jeff Simmons would not just be another dude on any defense in the country, and he is not playing out of position. He grew into a nose guard.

It's different positions but he couldn't hold Key's jockstrap. Surely you were considering Key a LB when you said that. He is talented but still has a lot to prove to say he's better than a probable top 5 draft pick.
Also, there is a good chance that there will be other first round draft picks from this DL besides just Key. While I do think State has more talent than people are giving them credit for, they won't be within 2 touchdowns of LSU.

Game won't be close. MSU won't be able to do much of anything on offense against LSU's defense. I think it'll be fairly close at the half, and then turn into a blowout in the 2nd half. LSU 45 MSU 17

Well State won't be able to just stack the LOS in this game. They will try, get burnt then back off. LSU will then run the football on them. Aranda will stop the run and sick the Dogs on them (no pun intended).

Conclusion LSU 31 State 13

Pretty close to how I see it as well.

A big special teams play or multiple LSU turnovers could change the outcome, but straight-up I think LSU has too much horsepower

This , most assuredly, will not be the score.

MSU can't kick field goals

TD + a safety , maybe?

But we've been much more competitive against LSU lately.

I think people forget that the score was 21-0 in the first quarter or early second last year until Les Miles took his foot off the gas as usual. Needless to say this is a different year, different OC, different style, different attitude, and a very confident LSU team.

We'll see what State does against slightly tougher competition in La Tech this week. If La Tech runs the ball on y'all, look out. If y'all have another defensive performance like y'all did this week, then it should be a good game. Even still you can't compare LSU's talent with La Tech.

Teams will learn that they can't just crowd the line against this offense. I can't wait to see it when y'all do because I know y'all will. State would actually be better off approaching it like BYU did, bend but don't break. Y'all will come out crowding the line but if LSU exploits it then grantham will back off and probably play it a little more smart. Bringing the blitz at key times in the game. Canada is real good at guessing right though so we'll see what happens. I can't wait to see how the offense responds to a tough defense.

State is going make LSU quit again. That pop warner offense is a joke.
