1) Walker
2) Jackson
3) Smith
Great backs are remembered for decades/centuries. McFadden and Fournette will be soon forgotten. Herschel, Bo, and Emmitt wouldn't have been stopped cold by Bama. They would have gotten their yards, even in a loss.

I totally disagree with this idea. Bo was helped With that many nfl rbs on the field at the same time. That enabled him to attain more ypc. Put him in an I by himself, and his ypc goes down.
So what's your excuse at he next level? Bo owned Herschel in the NFL too.
NFL career YPC:
Bo- 5.4
Herschel - 4.2
Every level Bo is good for more than a yard per rush better than Herschel.

I knew this thread was a joke as soon as I saw passing stats being used instead of YPC, when comparing elite RBs.. leave it to Arkansas fans. So desperate to be noticed it's humorous.

Lets do take stats out the equation look at the competition that Henry and Fournette has to go against now compared to Bo and Herschel.
All you have to do is look at the raw freakish athletic talent of Bo and Herschel. Physically those two are on another level. Now I agree that Herschel probably couldn't have a 385 carry season against today's competition, but those two would rape defenses in any era.
Henry and Fournette are closer to Herschel than anybody we've seen, but still couldn't hold his jock. And Bo's combination of size, power, agility, and speed have yet to be and may never be matched. There's a reason he's still regarded by anybody with a valid opinion as the greatest athlete of all-time

lol Calm down.....other players besides bo and walker can and should be discussed as all time greats. Just because you stopped ranking rb's in the 80's doesn't mean that time didn't move on without you.

I would take Jamal Lewis over everyone not named Hershel or Bo on that list.

It was the best in the sec again.
Disagree. Their pass blocking was atrocious.
It seemed like every time Coker did a PA fake and rolled out to the left or to the right he had a defender right in his face.

I wasn't talking about their pass pro. Best run blockers in the sec again.

Any list that doesn't include Henry who has the best single season in SEC history, a Heisman and a natty is invalid.
And was the 45th pick in the draft.

McFadden...14-22 passing, 205 yards, 7 TD, 1 INT
That ratio.

Guys, Forget stats for a moment, and just look at the talent and performances. Hershal and Bo are the best in SEC history. Fournette is probably third. An argument could be made for Emmett Smith or McFadden. Henry is not even in the conversation for top 10 in the modern era.

~facepalm~
LF still has to prove he's better than McFadden and Smith. LSU has recruited GOBS of talent at OL over the years; I don't buy that they have some craptastic OL. If LSU's OL is dog crap, then then you guys have some serious soul searching to do.
McFadden is the most impressive when you consider his supporting cast. Yes, the skill positions were good around him, but he certainly didn't have a full line of 4* and 5* blocking for him.
McFadden did the most for his team.
Bo was the most gifted of his era
Herschal took a massive punishment and was the true definition of work horse.
