Attempts and yard per carry need to be added to OP.

Damn, Fournette will end up with 750 carries. Way more than any Bama RB under Saban. So many narratives end up being so wrong around here.

Any list that doesn't include Henry who has the best single season in SEC history, a Heisman and a natty is invalid.

He wasn't included because he was not one of the 5 best backs in SEC history.
He wasn't even the best back in the SEC last year...

List their carries pls
I guess it's too much to ask for the OP even though they were listed on page 1.

What about YPC?

Career YPC:

Bo Jackson - 6.6
Leonard Fournette - 6.1
Darren McFadden - 5.8
Emmitt Smith - 5.6
Herschel Walker - 5.3

When taking into account the numbers realize that Bo Jackson was in a Wishbone Offense and shared the backfield and carries with as many as FOUR other NFL RBs on the roster at the same time

Can we please get numbers before turning 22 & half to compare. I am sure there is some statistical value

Agreed, he may or may not the best back but did play behind the best line and the best team in the SEC, the Hogs may have contended for the best line also. Henry is a elite back and look forward to seeing his NFL career. Bama has had some very good running backs and last year they seemed to feature Henry more than the previous 4 lead runners.

Pointless argument there are at least 20 great SEC running backs, my personal favorite is McFadden.

Different years, different teams and different decades.

I've got a different take on this.

Todd Gurley played in 30 games.

Career average of 6.4 ypc.

He returned 11 kickoffs, taking it to the house on 2 of them. Average return was 38.4 yards. Total 422 yards.

65 receptions for 615 yards.

45 total touchdowns for Gurley.

Gurley should easily be in the top 5 in SEC history. It's just a shame he had to go out with an ACL injury following the autograph scandal that also kept him sidelined.

Complete Stats (Fournette has likely one more season):

1. Herschel Walker - 5,259 rushing yards, 49 TDs, 26 catches, 243 yards, 3 TDs. 14 KR, 247 yards, no TDs. 0-1 passing, 1 INT.

2. Darren McFadden - 4,590 yards, 41 TDs, 46 catches, 365 yards, 2 TDs, 38 KR, 926 yards, 1 TD. 14-22 passing, 205 yards, 7 TD, 1 INT

3. Bo Jackson - 4,303 yards, 43 TDs, 26 catches, 272 yards, 2 TDs, 14 KR, 373 yards, 0-1 passing.

4. Emmitt Smith - 3,928 yards, 36 TDs, 56 catches, 463 yards, 1 TD.

5. Leonard Fournette - 2,987 yards, 32 TDs, 26 catches, 380 yards, 1 TD. 24 KR, 625 yards, 1 TD.

I can't tell if you are acknowledging how such an offense helped bo, or if you are saying it hurt bo.
