The Arizona baseball team took a shite in the junction, hidden in strategic places where it was sure to be stepped in.

South Carolina could make some noise with Clarke Schmidt, Wil Crowe, and Adam Hill being possibly the top weekend rotation in the conference. The bats, though?

USC finished 5th in the SEC in team batting despite 2/3rds of the regular lineup either being true freshmen or JUCOs in their 1st yr at USC. The big question will be will John Jones be the guy who was one of the top hitters in collegiate baseball in the 1st-half of the season, or will he be the guy who struggled mightily down the stretch.

Our pitching should be stellar again - perhaps even better than this past season's: if Wil Crowe returns from his TJ surgery in full strength we could have 2 Friday Starter-caliber starters in Schmidt and Crowe. Hill is a tall skinny kid out of HS who seemed to tire out towards the end of the season - hopefully he puts some needed muscle on his frame during the off-season and comes back stronger. Also Tyler Johnson was also a bit thin as a true freshmen that could afford some added muscle. We'll also return both Reagan and Scott who along with Johnson made up our top 3 relievers out of the BP (Reagan and Johnson combined for 20 saves last season).

USC was 2nd behind UF in pitching staff strikeouts last season, and even with the departure of Webb we should again be among the top staffs next season (if not THE top staff) with Crowe being inserted again.

South Carolina won the East this past season: no valid reason to not include USC as one of the elite of the SEC when they have won more significant titles in recent years than those others, and still seem poised to continue the hunt....

Don't follow it that closely but pitching should be good for Tennessee based on prospect hype. Serrano, Warren, Westphal, Martin, Linginfelter. All legit SEC arms, though Serrano and Westphal are coming off TJ. Serrano has loved throwing these mid 80s 5'8 lefties with pitch-ability but hopefully he realizes now that will not work in the SEC.

Hard to believe Tennessee has had Senzel, Christin Stewart, V Jackson, Simcox, etc. on the offensive side the last 2 years and done absolutely nothing. Really embarrassing for Serrano.

C- cooper Johnson, his elite defense and arm will secure his spot as starting catcher, rotating with fortes

Not sure where Dillard plays but he will be in the lineup at midsession, maybe 1st?

Ss- Kessinger was supposed to be at 2nd and bring olenek in from OF to play SS
But with Blackmon staying I imagine olenek stays in OF

outfielders
1 Kyle Watson
2 olenek
3 Maybe Golsan? Or if he's at first, Dillard

Very possible but Arkansas was REALLY bad this year and are losing several of their better players, though I know they have some talent coming in-----I would be shocked if they are not better.

I do agree it will likely be 'Bama if not Arkansas...though Bama has some talent returning that people forget about---may depend on the 3 JUCO signees...2 were drafted, if they get to campus.

Jake Walters and Brock Love will be a solid 1-2 punch. However the back end of our bullpen and depth is probably going to be pretty bad.

I don't expect the'll be back, but Nick Eicholtz has yet to sign so that would help tremendously.

Not much in the lineup aside from Avant, Vance & Taylor. Cody Henry seems to be doing well in the Cape so if he actually hits for power that could be an x-factor.

7th place team in the West might be 10th overall though. Georgia will be 14th I'd almost bet my savings on that---Missouri will likely suck pretty bad, too. Then UK and UT.
